Sweet Shalom Tearoom
Lovely victorian tearoom. I visit monthly. The theme changes each month - the food and decor will reflect the theme. Bottomless pots of Harney and Sons tea arrive at your table by the friendly servers. Fresh from the oven scones with spreads arrive first. (Their scones are the best - they offer a class on scone making.) The main course is served next - soup, salad, or other dish appropriate to the monthly theme. A tray or tier of tea treats follow, garnished with fresh flowers. A full size dessert concludes the food service. A program is usually presented, based on the monthly theme. Reservations are required.

Ancient Infusions
This is not a tea room, but a facility that makes sassafras tea concentrate. They offer a wonderful tour with tasting at the end. Our group had a delightful and very informative tour.

Tea by the Sea
I enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea along Lake Erie. Harney and Sons tea is served in pots with the leaves in a removable mesh strainer. The tea room is in a front room of a bed and breakfast. The first course is a griddle scone - delicious, along with orange marmalade and butter. My two tiered server held a fresh fruit cup and sweets on the top with an abundance of tasty sandwiches on the bottom. A dish of sherbet finished the afternoon. This tea room is located in a gated community. You can park in the front lot, pay your entrance fee and catch a golf cart to the tea room. For an additional fee, you can drive your car in and park in limited parking lots. The lake is a short walk from the tea room and many unique shops are just down the street.

Emerald Necklace Inn Tea Room
Charming tea room for a relaxing afternoon. The food was good and served on various antique dishes. The loose leaf tea menu is extensive, with jars of tea leaves for sale in the extensive gift shop. Gloria stopped by my table to say hello and visit a bit about visiting tea rooms.

The Tea Parlor
My daughter and I visited The Tea Parlor recently. We had a delightful afternoon. Upon arrival, we were seated in her home's tea parlor and promptly poured a cup of the featured tea. It was wonderful to sip tea as we made our selection from her extensive tea menu. A small dish on our table held shortbread to nibble during our quandary. She offers flavored black (13 varieties), Oolongs (2), Black(11), Green(8), White (5), and Herbal & Fruit Infusions(12). (We loved the Summer Pudding.) All are loose leaf and available by the ounce for purchase. Tea was unlimited and we enjoyed several varieties, prepared properly, with our tea goodies. A three tiered server held a tier of cheese/crackers with fresh fruit, the next held four sandwiches each, and the final one was three sweets each. We were served a savory, hot from the oven during tea time. Our tea finale was a couple of scones, served with the best Devonshire Cream I have tasted. We asked for her secret. She said it starts with quality cream from Amish cows. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Two groups of ladies with very well behaved young ladies were having tea at the same time we were. The hostess was very child friendly and offered an adorable childs tea. It ended with ice cream, much to the delight of one of the young ladies. Overall a wonderful tea experience in the hostess' home. Her menu changes monthly and I wish we lived closer. I would love to add it to my list of tea rooms I visit each month.

British Pantry & Tea Garden Cafe
I have dined here several times. The first time was during a busy lunch time and we were not impressed, but it gets better with each additional visit. The gift shop is excellent. They offer many tea items, as well as English pots and cups. They serve loose leaf tea, in your pot. I usually request it decanted, but sometimes they just put it in a bag. They offer a nice variety on their menu.

Sweetwaters Cafe
We stopped at Sweetwater and were expecting a tea room. It was in the front of a market and reminded us of the snack area in a Barnes and Noble or other chain bookstore. Our tea was served in disposable cups. I just would not consider this a tea shop.

Sweet Afton Tea Room and Restaurant
Sweet Afton is a charming tea room. I dined here for my birthday, and they even served the tea in a birthday cake teapot. The owners were very friendly. Loose leaf tea is served in assorted pots. The china is also mix and match, which I really enjoy. They offer many options on their menu. The food was very good. Service was also wonderful.

Annies's Cheesecake and Tea Room
We have eaten at Annies a couple times, the first time was take out, the second time we dined there. Her fruit soups Peach and Strawberry, as well as the cheesecakes are wonderful. The egg salad is also very good. The tea was Bigelow bagged tea. My pot of water was not very warm, so the tea was lacking.

Clara J's at 219
Clara J's tea room is in a historic home. The setting is victorian. She serves loose leaf tea in teapots and offers many menu options. We have tried soups, sandwiches, scones and sweets. Afternoon tea is offered, with reservations. The atmosphere is very relaxing. A great place to meet a friend for lunch/afternoon tea or relax alone with a good book. Reservations are not required, although we usually give her a call when we are on our way and she always has a table ready for us. She also has a wonderful selection in her gift shop.

Central Perc European Cafe
We plan to give this tea room another chance. We were there when it was very busy during lunch. The cheese and onion sandwich (their specialty) was very good. We also tried their salad sampler, soups, cheese tray, tuna sandwich and scones. One of the teas we had was simple bagged tea, the other a loose leaf. We didn't feel the owners were very friendly, but they were very busy filling orders. Our server was very nice. They seemed to have a lot of regular customers and next time, we will know what to expect. They also offer an afternoon tea with reservations we would like to try.

Elaine's Tea Shoppe
Elaine's offers many varieties of loose leaf tea and tea items in her shop. We had lunch here a couple years ago. The food was simple. Our tea was served in press pots. She is very friendly and happy to share her knowledge of tea. I have stopped several times since just to to shop.

TehKu Tea Company
We enjoyed lunch at TehKu. Our loose leaf tea was served in styrofoam to go cups. The chicken salad sandwich was very good. We also tried the scones. The owner was very nice and chatted as we smelled the many cans of tea at the smelling counter. They have a huge variety of teas from which to choose. We enjoyed the lemon ginger, but were not so fond of bubble tea.

Jayde's Tea House
My daughter and I stopped at Jayde's tea shop in June. She was very gracious in welcoming us, sharing the health benefits of tea and preparing a cup to go for us. She already had some guests at her table, so we didn't stay long. Everything was spotless and she was very friendly. We did not have food (I'm not sure she has food.) and concerning the artistry of tea preparation (She made our tea to go);I marked both average only because I can not give a fair assesment on either.
