I live 2 hours from the British Pantry and look forward to my annual visit there. If only I lived closer!!! The owner is personable. The gift shop is always well stocked. The food is fantastic! The variety of loose tea is not only fabulous, but so are the prices. I recommend you make reservations as the locals know that the atmosphere, food selection and prices are the best in town.

Friends and I make it a point to go to the British tea Pantry at least once a year. Their selection of teas are outstanding and brewed to perfection. The scones are served warm and are so flavorful with raspberry preserves and Devon shire cream. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their gift shop is also so much fun to shop in and well stocked with great treasures!

I live about a two hour drive from the British Tea Garden and can only visit about once or twice a year. It is worth the drive and I wish I lived closer! Tecumseh is a quaint little hisoric town with lots of fun events happening throughout the year. During the lunch hour the British Tea Garden is bustling with customers. It's good to call ahead for a reservation if possible. I love to visit with the owner Rochelle, who is very personable and takes time to assist, browse the gift shop to see what's new, stock up on tea and tea related items and enjoy some piping hot tea and choose from a viariety of food items. It's alway hard to decide just what to order because I want to try everything! My husband has even agreed to join me on occasion as men are sited in the cafe on a regular basis. He and I both rave about the service and quality of the food. You must try the Asparagus Soup! I serve private teas in my home and this is where I purchase most of the loose teas I serve because of the selection, quality and price of the tea. I highly recommend the 'Sweet Sin' Rooibos, which I believe is their best seller. It's a great place to stock up on ALL the necessities for hosting a large proper tea or just an informal tea for two. I can truly say that this is a great place to visit. Try it, you'll like it. :-)

This is one of the best places that I have been for
tea and scones. They don't serve traditional high tea with the tiered service, but their good is fantastic. The tea pantry is not overly feminine which is nice for the guys and they offer a wide variety of things besides tea sandwiches. Their scones are literally the best I have eaten, and I have been to tea rooms across the US. They have an excellent selection of tea and they have a wonderful store that specializes in tea related things as well as traditional British foods and candies. I love this place.

I have dined here several times. The first time was during a busy lunch time and we were not impressed, but it gets better with each additional visit. The gift shop is excellent. They offer many tea items, as well as English pots and cups. They serve loose leaf tea, in your pot. I usually request it decanted, but sometimes they just put it in a bag. They offer a nice variety on their menu.

I have been coming here even before it was tearoom.(it was a British grocery store)I have not ever been disapointed! The owners and staff are so warm and friendly and the foos is so good. Make sure you get the cinnamon scones and the house coleslaw! I took my English friend there and she loved it.It made her feel good because she felt homesick. They even have a map of the British Isles where you can pin your city or town in the Isles! So nice!

I go here as often as I can. I am fortunate it is so close. Love the lunches and Afternoon tea. The gift shop is wonderful. I have been to over 100 'tea rooms' and this is my overall favorite. I introduce anyone I can to this place.

The staff were very friendly. My husband and I really enjoyed the scones (tried all 4 kinds and they were delicious). Our tea was good although if I were brewing it, I would remove the tea leaves from the pot before serving it so that the tea wouldn't get so strong. Definitely worth going there for the delicious scones.
