Lavender Bleu Gift Shop and Tea Room
I so enjoy visiting this tea room. The tea is HOT, the food delicious and generous, and the service efficient and friendly. I took my daughter, who has celiac, and her tea was amazing! She let me taste many of the items and they were beyond wonderful!! I heartily recommend this tea room to anyone who is looking for a very positive experience in a charming little tea room. I can't wait to return. Sharron de Montigny, Tea Rooms Northwest

Grand Victorian B & B/High Tea
What a wonderful experience my first visit to Grand Victorian was! The ambiance in this 'new' Victorian was beautiful, and the hostess most gracious and friendly. There were a number of tea choices, all from The Tea Party in Newport. Delicious dishes of strawberries and cream were served and were immediately followed by a tiered server laden with a colorful assortment of scones, sandwiches, savories and desserts. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh, and the portions were generous. Our gluten-free ladies were served an equally generous and tasty selection. I can't wait to get back to tea at this new tea venue. I highly recommend that tea lovers put this tea experience on their list of must do's. Of course, since it is in Nye Beach, one can liger for awhile in this quaint area of Newport before heading to the Bay Front! Sharron de Montigny, Tea Rooms Northwest

The Charms of Tea
This tearoom changed hands over a year ago and is now called 'Ivy Garden Tea Room'. It is still a nice place to take tea. Sharron de Montigny, Tea Rooms Northwest

SerendipiTea
I have visited here many times and thought it was time to share my experiences. Every time I take tea at Serendipitea the service is warm and welcoming, the food is delicious and the tea hot. half of the fun is visiting with Stina, Chris and Dennis. They are the perfect tea hosts and know what hospitality is meant to be. I can't wait for another trip to the coast for tea! Sharron de Montigny, Tea Rooms Northwest

Elizabeth and Alexander's English Tea Room
I wish the ratings were not based on the four items listed above. There is so much more to a tea room! The 10 other ladies on my tea tour visited here for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. We so enjoyed everything about tea time. The service was amazing, considering how busy they were...a steady line waiting to enjoy tea! Everything tasted delicious, the tea foods were attractively plated, tea was tasty and hot, and the offerings were certainly enough. This is a charming tea room in a small establishment but they make it work. Not all tea rooms are the same but enjoy the differences. Sharron de Montigny, Tea Rooms Northwest

The Tea Party
Though this tea room was a wonderful experience for me, we can no longer experience tea in Newport. The Tea Party no longer offers afternoon tea. Claire still has the retail business, but the restaurant area is now serving 'chocolate' faire. EVERYTHING has chocolate in the ingredients, not just the desserts! Victorian Connection
W had the pleasure of taking tea at Victorina Connection on one of our tea room tours, and it was a wonderful experience. We had reservations and the tea set was waiting for us upon our arrival. The tiered server was laden with a wonderful selection, and everything was delicious and attractively presented. The tea was hot, the food generous and Simon and Isolyn were warm and friendly hosts. A trip through the huge gift area offered a few items I just couldn't resist and we hope to return again for another fabulous tea. Sharron deMontigny, Tea Rooms Northwest

Tea's Me
Our group had the good fortune to recently spend a very rainy day inside this cheery and welcoming tea room. Everything about the tea was excellent- lots of tea choices, delicious food, and exceptional service. I tried a new Honey Bush Rooibos and it was perfectly brewed. The sandwiches were generous and tasty, especially the turkey with cranberries! I look forward to returning to this fun tea room and gift shop in the near future. Steeped In Comfort
Our first visit to Steeped in Comfort was an excellent experience. The tea, African Autumn Rooibos, was delicious and perfectly brewed. Every morsel on the tiered server was fresh and delicious, especially the pumpkin desserts! As for the scones...they were outstanding. Even the ones we took with us were fresh and tasty two days later. We look forward to visiting again when we are in the area. Sharron de Montigny Tea Rooms Northwest

The Society Woman
I had the pleasure of having the tea luncheon today and it was wonderful. Everything was fresh, tasty and artistically presented. Sharon was a most gracious hostess and made sure all of our needs were taken care of. I did not downgrade my evaluation just because there were not a variety of tea choices. I feel that if the tea that is served is good, a lot of choices are not necessary. I also do not factor in artistry when evaluating the tea. I look forward to returning again soon. I just love the new location for this tea room. The house is lovely and the rooms charming. I enjoyed the Lavender Tea, which was delicious and plentiful. My favorites were the chicken salad sandwich and the scrumptuous scones. An added feature, which I took advantage of was, the offering of additional scones! They were wonderful! The gift shop held many temptations and I brought home a few items I couldn't live without. I look forward to another visit in the near future. Sharron de Montigny Tea Rooms Northwest

The British Pantry
I finally got back to The British Pantry for traditional English afternoon tea...cucumber sandwiches, scone, fruit and bakewell tart. Everything was tasty and the service excellent. My non-tea friends enjoyed their offerings as well as a trek through the great gift shop. I look forward to a return visit. Sharron de Montigny Tea Rooms Northwest

Lisa is the new owner of Lisa's Tranquility Tea Room and she has created one of my favorite tea rooms. The service is very friendly, the tea hot and served promptly, and the food is delicious and very attractively presented. The gift area carries many new and one of a kind items for personal use of gift-giving. I just love taking tea here and look forward to every visit! Sharron de Montigny, Tea Rooms Northwest

The Tea Zone
We had business in Portland and stopped in for a cup of hot tea. While there we saw a group partaking of the Holiday High Tea and decided to return the next day. It was every bit as good as we had hoped...fresh and tasty food, attractive presentation and wonderful tea. I highly recommend 'tea time' at The Tea Zone, but be sure that you make reservations. Except for before Christmas, afternoon tea is only offered on specific Saturdays or by reservation for groups.Sharron deMontigny, Tea Rooms Northwest

Westgate Hotel
It seems we all have different expectations when visiting tea rooms. We enjoyed a delicious tea which was nicely presented in courses by a charming and efficient waiter. The food was generous and the price fair. Entertainment and beautiful ambiance added to a very pleasant tea time. Sharron de Montigny, publisher-Tea Rooms Northwest

Lovejoy's
I took a friend to tea at Lovejoy's and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The sandwiches were more traditional English style...simple, tasty and fresh. Both savories were delicious but we both especaillly loved the sausage rolls, which were served with a delicious mixed greens salad. The scones were delicious and were served with my double devon and lemon curd. Petit fours rounded out the tea. The tea room is charming and the service timely and friendly.Everyone's expectations of a tea room are different but I will say that this tea experience met all of mine! Camellia Tea Room
While on a tearoom tour, we had the pleasure of taking tea here. I really loved the ambiance...20s art deco, formal but comfortable. I had the Savory Plate and my husband had the Cream Tea. Every-thing was delicious, fresh and attractively presented. The service was friendly and efficient. A previous review mentioned that the tearoom is noisy but since tearooms are gathering places, that is the not unusual. It appeared that making reservations for parties of more than 2 is a good idea, especially during the lunch hours.
