Sweet Serenity Tea Room
Thanks Cindy and Nicole for a lovely Royal Tea; my sister and I enjoyed ourselves. The tea tiers were generously laden with petite sandwiches and desserts. Another plus - the bottomless pot. Nicole, was extremely friendly and made every effort to make our tea time pleasant.

Aylesbury Tea Room
I was in town for a few days and thought taking tea would be a wonderful idea. I called the telephone number to this tea room and was graciously given a reservation for tea time. Within fifteen minutes I was on my way to this quaint establishment. Upon our arrival we received a warm inviting welcome. We were seated promptly and within five minutes Mother and I enjoyed a perfectly steeped pot of tea. OBSERVATIONS: Tea selection is limited to the house tea. Desserts are lacking (store bought). HUGE scones that were fluffy and soooo delightful came with a generous serving of clotted cream and preserves. We enjoyed our tea time very much. The gift shop has something for tea novice and the seasoned tea lover. Everyone was so pleasant, this made our tea time more enjoyable. Super Thanks!

Victorian Station
The photograph shown on the web-site is misleading. The establishment must have looked like this decades ago. First impressions matters. Several coats of paint would bring back the Victorian charm of this building. There seems to be an identity crisis - is this a tea room or a barbeque cafe? My guests and I were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The service was impeccable! Our server was friendly and accommodating. The presentation of our tea tray was inviting, we enjoyed every morsel of our tea sandwiches and desserts. SUGGESTIONS: Instrumental Classical music will set the tone for tea time, work on the decor for the tea area; use real linen napkins and proper tea equipage - loose teas and NO tea bags PLEASE!

British Bell
The British Bell Tea Room's location is somewhat obscure. It is among several establishments; but not far from the cinema. Once you enter the British Bell you are met with a treasure trove of wonderful tea gifts. Personally, self-control eluded me. One shopping spree and I purchased gifts for all of my tea time friends. Thomas, our server, had a servants heart. He made sure that our tea time was magnificent. We brought to his attention an item that was served that needed attention. He quickly remedied the matter. The tea tier treats were delightful. The pumpkin scone was the best that I have had thus far. It was flavorful, flakey and the texture was just right. Dawn, the hostess/owner was so graceful. She assured me that my mother, who has alzheimers, would not be a problem. She made every effort to make our tea time enjoyable. The atmosphere was comfortable the classical music added a special touch. There is one challenge/pet-peeve NO paper napkins please. With everything else being near perfect the paper napkins was the glitch. I highly recommend this tea venue.

The Blue Willow Tea Room
Do not expect the bottomless pot, there isn't one. Eight Harney and Sons variety teas (tea bags) to choose from. The tea was served with tea bag still inside the pot. Tea tier treats were plentiful and tasty, however, presentation was lacking. The Afternoon Tea was a bit $$$. The famous pound cake was not on this tier. The Victoria tea seems to be the better choice.
Tearoom response:
Dear Cyhthia, Sorry your visit with us was not to your liking. However, I must correct you on some of your comments. First, we do not serve tea bags,we use French silk sachets which contain loose whole leaf teas. The teas need to stay inside the teapot for at least four to five minutes in order to brew properly. It is acceptable to leave your tea bag in the pot. We pride ourselves on our presentation and thank you for your comments on our plentiful and tasty food. Your dessert tier consisted of either lemon, almond or double chocolate pound cake with a fruit curd and Devonshire cream, as well as other assorted sweets. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you again.

The Royal Tea Room & Restaurant
My Royal Tea experience was SUPERB! The interior was decorated for Harvest Season. Each table was nicely adorned with crisp linens, NO paper napkins! Classical music played softly, no competition with patrons conversations. Chef Betty's delectable tea treats were plentiful, delicious and filling. There were three soup choices. Crab, Spinach and Tomato Bisque. I had the tomato bisque which was creamy and seasoned just right. Scone Time! I chose the cranberry scone, later in the evening (at home), I had the lemon poppy scone which was moist and crumbly. One enormous plus: A generous serving of lemon curds, homemade clotted cream and Constant Comment tea infused homemade jelly. My tea tier had a variety of tea sandwiches, cucumber, egg salad, chicken salad, two miniature quiche, fruit and a crab ball. There were enough desserts that two could share, none were store bought. Chef Betty made tea time personal and special, she conversed with the guests and asked their opinion in regards to tea time. I left the Royal Tea Room a satisfied customer. I highly recommend this tea room.

The English Rose Tea Room
Sharri, greeted us warmly, seated us and gave us the tea menu. She promptly took our tea order and within minutes we were enjoying our 'steeped just right' tea selection. My guest was enjoying her first tea time experience. To add icing to the tea cakes Sharri brought out our tier with wonderfully prepared and presented tea treats. The down pour made our tea time more enjoyable. The English Rose Tea Room is small, cozy and comfortable. My observation is: The is NO bottomless pot of tea. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this tea room.
Tearoom response:
Hi Cynthia, it is always great seeing you, reminds me of school. Glad you enjoyed everything. Shari

Sinking Springs Herb Farm and Retreat
Ann and Bill, owners of Sinking Springs, were gracious hosts. Ann, made an exception for my friend and I to visit and take tea on a Sunday. We had been at Sandy Cove and we wanted to celebrate my friends birthday. What better way than have a tea party. Ann, made accommodations just for us. At the conclusion of our tea she presented us with freshly handpicked flowers from her garden. Bill, gave us a mini history listen of the house and how long it had been in his family, what a treat. The birthday girl and I walked the grounds and went into the BIG red barn. Our purchase was lavender, ahhhhhhhh. Just before our departure Ann presents us with Lemon Balm. We felt SPECIAL !!!! Thanks Ann and Bill for making our day a lovely one. We are most appreciative.

Serenity Tearoom & Fine Dining
When taking tea at the Serenity Tea Room you can expect impeccable service. The tea menu is extensive and the food looks and tastes FRESH! The scone was so moist and tasty. I did need more curd, it was lacking. Soft classical music will not drown your conversation. Mrs. Henry, the Proprietress, is very knowledgeable of the teas that are on the tea menu. PET-PEEVES: I do not like paper napkins at Tea Time it makes me feel like I am at a picnic. And although there is the bottomless pot you MUST consume all of your tea from your first order. I would/have recommended this lovely tea room.

Reynolds Tea Room
I rate this tea experience a BIG disappointment. This was a 'TERRIBLE TEA TRAGEDY'!!! When my guest and I arrived we were told that our table was ready. We were seated promptly but in an area where the noise level was over bearing. My guest and I could not converse without leaning almost shoulder to shoulder. When our unenthusiastic aloof waiter came to the table he could not hear us place our order. He said 'What', several times. When my tea tray arrived it was NOTHING special. The food looked old. The only positive was the quiche. I made it known to staff that I was not pleased. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING was done. I later followed-up by calling back to the establishment and again voiced my concern, I feel I got the 'BRUSH OFF'. I was told no one else had ever made known an experience like the one I had. There were paper napkins and place mats. Lacking was proper tea equipage. As one patron stated in her review this tea room lacks luster. I am in full agreement with that statement. My suggestion is to stick with serving luncheon. I am puzzled as to how this tea room got its rating of ' being #9. What is the criteria???? Do not waste your time or money taking tea at this tea room. I cannot and will not recommend it to anyone.

Gypsy's Tea Room
What a wonderful way to start the day!!! My son and I had business in the Reisterstown, Maryland area and knew our tea reservation was at 12:00 Noon. We concluded our business by 10:15 and decided to make our way to Gypsy's Tea Room. We just wanted to see where it was located so that we could spend time else where until our scheduled tea time. We went inside and was greeted warmly by Mary. She excused herself briefly and came back and asked if we wanted to be seated. WE WERE TAKEN ABACK!!! We were escorted to the Winchester room which is decorated in Black and White. A well-groomed young lady by the name of Kaitlin, took our tea order (tea menu was extensive). The next course was homemade Tuscany soup-DELIGHTFUL! The baby greens with vinaigrette dressing was fresh with herbs from the garden. The lemon-ginger scone with clotted cream and marmalade was flavorful-yummm. Chef Lora brought our fluted fruit libations which was pleasing to the eyes and tasty. Our server Kaitlin brought in our tea tier and explained what we were to soon enjoy. We did not have to compete with the Classical music that played softly throughout our tea time. My son, who was also celebrating his 24th birthday, and I reaped the benefits of the labor of the staff at Gypsy's. They were obliging, polite and genteel. I have one personal pet-peeve, I would have preferred real flowers on the table. There are flower gardens on the property. I highly recommend Gypsy's Tea Room if you want to experience phenomenal service with a smile.

Crest Hill Tea Room
Sally, the hostess/proprietress seemed to have been waiting for my arrival. I had emailed her approximately 2:00 a.m., Sunday morning letting her know that I was browsing the internet and came across her site. I asked if I could take tea at her establishment that afternoon. Sally, called me approximately 10:00 a.m., and stated that I was welcomed. Upon my arrival I was seated immediately and my tea menu given to me promptly. Within five minutes I was served Sally's Blend (loose leaf) tea that had been steeped to my satisfaction. Within ten minutes my tea sandwich tier arrived laden with tea treats, a scone with clotted cream and lemon curd (liberal serving), fruit in season ,(pickles, carrots and celery, which I prefer not don my tea tray) and several home made desserts. Taking tea at this tea room is affordable and the portions generous. MY PERSONAL PET PEEVES: When I take tea at tea rooms, parlors and/or salons I expect linen napkins, tablecloth and proper tea implements. I want my tea experience to be a special occasion.

Mrs. Hardesty's Tea Room
Tea Time at Mrs. Hardesty's was well worth my time. It is priced reasonably and the tea fare is plentiful and delicious. Brenda, my server, was friendly and hospitable. My tea was steeped to perfection and served within four minutes. The scone was moist BUT a fork had to be utilized because it crumbled easily. I took advantage of the bottomless pot. The tea menu presented numerous premium tea choices which I considered a PLUS. I oftentimes take tea by myself, one of the disadvantages has been that I have to get the attention of the hostess and/or server. This time was no exception. Aside from this point I would label my Tea Time as 'Sheer Enjoyment'. I Highly recommend tea time at Mrs. Hardesty's. Do not hesitate to make a tea reservation.

The Joy Garden
Months of planning and finally the day arrived for our mini class reunion. My classmates of years gone by and I enjoyed our time at the Joy Garden. The atmosphere was just right. We did not feel rushed and everyone was sooooo friendly. The service was impeccable and our server Madeline was knowledgeable of her tea facts (I was impressed). After tea time had ended Nancy assured us that my guests and I could take all the time we needed to look at our year book and have a few laughs. I truly appreciate all Nancy did to make our mini reunion a success.

Tea On The Tiber
We received a warm welcome as we entered the establishment. Our hostess escorted us to our table and we were promptly given our tea menu. Within five minutes our teapots were placed on the table and minutes later we enjoyed our tea. The savories and desserts were presented well. One Challenge: I personally would like to have had real linens. There was no tablecloth on the table and there were paper napkins. I was puzzled as to why such a nice setting would not warrant real linens. This was my guests first tea.

The Lobby Lounge, Ritz-Carlton
I had heard rave reviews about this tearoom and had to try it for myself. SURPRISE!!! I am baffled as to why there was so much talk. There was nothing special as far as the tea fare, it was lacking in portion. The desserts were presented well and I received excellent service. I recommend this tearoom only if you like having something to talk about.

Red Brick Bakery & Tea Room
Very friendly atmosphere. The food was good and plentiful. I came on a day when there seemed to be a special event. Very little space to move around. This tearoom has more of a cafe' flair.

Strathmore Tea Room
The staff are volunteers present themselves in a professional manner. They are attentive, gracious and go out of their way to assist. I have taken tea at this establishment at least a dozen times, I have always walked away satisfied with the food and service. The entertainment is most enjoyable and soothing. Thanks!!!

Fuschia Tea Emporium
My mother and I had afternoon tea at this establishment. We were seated promptly and our tea order was placed without delay. Our server was polite and knowledgeable of the various teas selected. The food was presented with appeal. The Chef stopped at our table and chatted for a while. He asked our opinion of the tea menu. We had a wonderful and enjoyable time at this tearoom. Challenge: Please change the flatware, it needed replaced. When I eat soup I do expect to use a soup spoon.

The Pink Bicycle Tea Room
My party and I had an enjoyable evening. As soon as we arrived we were promptly seated. Within moments our order was placed. The tea was hot and the scones were tasty. Very skimpy on the fruit and desserts. The interior needs much needed repairs. Holes in ceiling and the carpet was badly soiled.
