  • Tea Room at Port Gamble

A small group of us had lunch here recently and loved every minute of it! The Tearoom itself is charming, with lovely china and crisp table linens, even vintage hats to wear if you'd like. Everything is homemade and delicious, even the chocolate truffles in their gift shop! But it was the service and quality of the food that was outstanding. We are bringing a group of 15 here in May and they were so willing to work with us on a menu. (not all places are so accomodating) If you have never been to Port Gamble it is a tiny waterfront village right out of a Norman Rockwell paining. The Tearoom alone is worth the trip, but there are other charming shops to see as well.

This is by far the loveliest tea room in the area. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. And they have a wonderful gift shop. My friends and I have been here many times. BUT EVERY TIME THE SERVICE HAS BEEN POOR. I mean, really bad. Sometimes rude. We (over 12 of us) have decided to never return. It has been so bad at times that it is embarrasing, especially if we have someone new with us. There is one waitress that is always unpleasant as well as a clerk in the giftshop. And while normally nice the owner/cook has lately been very rude herself. It is a real shame.

My friends and I have been here several times and it is always such a pleasure. This is a charming and lovely tearoom. The food is wonderful (especially the scones - try the pumpkin!). Great lunches and reasonable prices. The service is always good and they have a nice selection of gifts and teas to purchase.

I wish I could gives marks ABOVE EXCELLANT! Agroup of 12 of us went yesterday. The atmosphere is charming. Formal but not fussy. The menu had many great choices from bruch or lunch items, as well as traditional tea sets. The food is completly homemade and truly wonderful. The attention to every detail was amazing; from the lovely table settings to the intricut checkerboard & heart shortbread cookies. A nice selection of loose leaf teas served in lovely individual pots. Probably the best scones and lemon curd I have ever had in a tearoom. And some of us are real tea snobs :). We also spent 2 hours shoppin ate the charming Country Village next door. We all said we'll be back again.
