Teatime
This tea shop & cafe has been in Palo Alto for a few years. This shop has the largest tea selection in Northern California that I have seen (besides Chado in Pasedena). I ordered a decaf tea with a oriental afternoon tea, and the sandwiches were excellent! The oriental afternoon tea did not include the traditional scone, so I will definitely come back to try it. Now, it is small cafe, so it can feel a little crowded. There are a couple of tables for outdoor seating. Noise level was low at the time. Tea tasted great. I would definitely go there again to try the other menu selections. It is a lovely spot in a busy little downtown area and tea & food are good!

August Tea Room
I went a second time and brought my sister from Orange County. She loved it. Everything is consistent! so I booked a baby shower!
Tearoom response:
Dear Cynthia,
Thank you for coming back and enjoying your tea with us. Looking forward to your next event with us.
Again thank so much.

The English Rose Tea Room and Gifts
This was not my first afternoon tea experience, so I am reviewing this tea room as a comparison to the others. It was our first visit to this tea room, and we ordered the Queens's tea. - Although not an extensive list, there were enough tea selections in each category such as black tea, herbal/fruit,...etc to chose from and it was not overwhelming. We asked our waitress for suggestions for tea to match with our food - it was a good selection. - I agree with Stephanie's comments on the food. However, I gave 'excellent' rating, because the overall taste was good. There was not a disappointing item. I do love the veggie bruschetta! Love the lemon curd & cream for the scones. - Table arrangement & presentation of the food is lovely. The table was little small for the two people. - Our waitress is amiable & spoke to us for a little bit. Other staff are very cheery. The tea room is very cute. Everything looked brand new. The tea room is off Main street in Pleasanton. It is located in corner side of a modern looking building, but when you step into the tea room. It is a totally different wonderful world. The English Rose Tea Room is a great place for special occassions: good tea, lovely presentation, comfortable enviroment, and down-to-earth staff, very very lovely decorations. I will definitely back with my daughters.
