Charlotte's Tea Room
I loved visiting the new locations and find Charlotte's a really cute and special place to meet friends and family. It creates the feeling of sitting at Grandma's. With that said, I found the waitresses to be a disappointment. While we were there, two teenage girls served the room and neither of them seemed happy about being there. In addition, they were dressed in hooded sweaters with the bellies hanging out. It was the only thing that really did not match the ambiance. Nonetheless, we will be back. :)
Tearoom response:
Oh my goodness! You must be confusing Charlotte's Tea Room with one of the many cafe's in Warwick - possibly Cafe Ala Mode? I assure you that all of the girls of Charlotte's abide by a VERY STRICT DRESS CODE - a dress code that CERTAINLY DOES NOT INCLUDE 'belly tops.' We pride ourselves with an atmosphere of manners and a certain sense of decorum which could only be duplicated in my very own grandmother's dinning room. I must say that none of my floor staff is a teenager, nor do they wear 'hoodies'. In fact, we have customers who give us their grandmother's or mom's vintage aprons, and love to see them being used in such a sweet venue.
And, although a franchise of Charlotte's is quite intriguing, one is all I can handle right now. So, I do hope we'll see you soon again at 15 Oakland Avenue.
