Tranquility Tea Room
Last Tuesday, Clare & I came down to enjoy the 'Peter Pan Tea Party'. Needless to say everything was impecable. The sandwiches were all on different breads, and the combinations were excellent. The scones were served straight from the oven and were prepared perfectly. The pastries topped off a great tea. The owner is trying to open another tea room in Ventura and we're excited about that as it will be 30 miles closer to home.

High Tea Cottage
Since Clare & I live 130 miles away, we don't get to this tea room as often as we like. We went last Monday and had a great time. The food, service and tea were all superb. Jenn spent some time with us and reminded us what we were missing. The whole day was superb and we booked the Aussie Day coming this Saturday.

Tea Cozy
Yesterday, Clare & I enjoyed a magnificent Tea,starting with Grilled Asparagus Soup, Stlton Toasts,Tea for Two selection of Sandwiches, scones, and assorted sesserts, accomanied by a large pot of Typhoo tea. We even ordered her lovely Coconut Cake with Raspberry Sorbet to take home. Tina (owner) provided us with a lovely ambience to share with our friends from Cambria, Duane & Sharon. We drive a 100 miles one-way for her tea, but its worth it once a month. Thanks again Tina.

Bloomsbury Tea Room
Clare & I had Afternoon Tea here on Tuesday, Nopv 16. From start to finish it was very elegant. Jen (owner) uses a teapot warmer, so your tea is always just right for drinking. The chicken salad sandwich was superb. The tea was perfectly steeped and served in bone china. The entire tea shoppe is well decorated and presents a very cosy atmosphere. Jen can't do enough for you and it is for certain that we'll return again.

Chado Tea Room
Clare and I recently had Afternoon Tea here and we were disappointed. The server coundn't understand us and had to be assisted. The tea wasn't served in bone china cups but should be. We were served orange marmalade which should have either been jam or lemon curd or both. We do hope that improvements will be made.

SerendipiTea
We visited here on Father's Day, June 20th. Stina and Chris made us welcome and served us a great tea, from the sorbet to the many sandwiches, 2 scones, one savory, and 5 tasty pastries. We had the Classic Ceylon Orange Pekoe Tea as we like smooth, black teas. It was excellent. Thanks Stina for your hospitality and we'll see you next year when we visit our daughter.

The Tea Trolley
On Saturday, May 2nd, we had tea at the Tea Trolley in Atascadero. I previously had called Wendy (the owner) and reserved a Queen's Tea. She informed me that they don't serve the Queen's Tea until 1:30 PM, I said fine. We arrived at 1:10 PM and found the tea room to be charming on the outside and inside. The only thing that wasn't charming was the server. She seated us promptly and provided us with menus. At exactly 1:30 she asked us what tea we had selected and gave us a choice of one sandwich out of 4 selections. We presumed there would be at least 3 sandwiches with the Queen's Tea, as in most tea rooms. I voiced this opinion to the server and she said we could only choose one. We chose the egg salad. When the sandwiches came there were a total of nine sandwiches (all egg salad) still fewer than the usual 6 each (3 different fillings) at other tea rooms, but plenty. The server told us there were 3 extra since I had voiced my opinion. My comments caused the server to give us the cold shoulder for the remainder of our stay, including after paying the check, no thanks for coming or how was your tea or please come again, although she exchanged pleasantries with another table a few feet from us. The tea was good, well steeped. The scone, cream, jam and lemon curd were good, all served without a word from the server. The assorted pastries were probably all purchased from Costco's, not made fresh in the tea room. On Saturday, April 25th we had tea at the Belladonna's Tea Room in Lancaster CA and on Tuesday, April 28th we had tea at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas NV, both were Outstanding and the servers were excellent. Will we return to the Tea Trolley, probably not, but we wish Wendy all the success with her lovely tea room.

Shakespeare's Afternoon Tea
Clare & I thoroughly enjoyed our tea experience here. Salina was a most hospitable hostess. One of the few tea rooms to use real devonshire cream, a plus. The patio was secluded and very quiet, very lovely. She also has the best stocked food shoppe on the west coast, another plus. We'll return frequently even though its 300 miles away. Bill & Clare
Tearoom response:
It was a pleasure to meet you both and introduce you to our British shop and tearoom, we are so glad that you had such a great time and look forward to seeing you again sometime although we know you live a long way away. Take care.

chateau Chansons d'Amour
We spent 4.5 hours with Zeda. Unfortunately Dennis was gone. We have experienced teas from New Zealand to Canada to England and be assured this was a memorable experience. Very enjoyable and we will return.
Tearoom response:
Bill and Clare, I look forward to your next visit. The time we spent together was filled with joy for me. I wanted you to stay longer, you both have such wisdom, some many experiences. Dennis will not be away for business the next time. He is looking forward to meeting you both. Thank you for coming for Tea with me. God Bless, and travel back here safely, we will be waiting.
