Tea Chai Te
ok, I admit, I am the asian tea Nazi and the fact that I can't get a decent cup of tea in the State drives me crazy. We went in the shop and thinking it might be promising since they have ALL the tea samples layout for you to smell. I judged the shop based on my stable, Earl Grey. Well, it is an ok cup of tea & lacking in some area. 1st of all, the tea is under steep, 2nd it's lacking of any flavor or bergamot. For a $4 cup of tea, I want TEA! Seriously, tea shops... Please keep in mind, brewing water temp, tea roasting time, tea picking time, all effect your tea & taste. Please don't just blend something & give it a pretty name.
Tearoom response:
We're so sorry to hear that the tea wasn't to your liking. We'd love to know which Earl Grey of ours you tried, as we don't have a simple traditional Earl Grey currently in our menu. Our NW Earl Grey is much lighter in flavor than a traditional due to the silver needles in it, our Blue Flower Earl Grey is a more floral variety and our Creme de la Earl Grey has a sweeter flavor with the addition of vanilla. We care deeply about the tea we serve and the way we prepare it and invite you to try our tea again, this time on us. Please message us on our website at www.teachaite.com with your contact info for that free (& hopefully redeeming) tea. We make tea because it is meant to be cherished, not loathed. Cheers!
