Elizabeth and Alexander's English Tea Room
Absolutely delightful atmosphere. Delicious food and great tea selection. Cheerful waitstaff. Perfect place for a Saturday lunch with the girls, although from my experience, the guys like it, too. Don't miss this place - it has no rivals in the NW.

Madam Fifi's
After reading all positive reviews of the Peach Tree, I happily scheduled a small birthday party here for my sister (9 total). We had the 'Sir Mumford' tea with sandwiches, scones and other treats. The tea was good (especially liked the blackberry), food was okay, but we were all very dissapointed at the service. The main chef/server was quite rude to our party, made us feel like an inconvenience and was generally awkward. After having real 'afternoon tea' in Victoria and London, this was definitely let-down. I would not go back, and especially not recommend this place for groups.
Tearoom response:
Dear Slightly annoyed--I am sorry that your service was not to your liking. I can not imagine what was wrong, we get many compliments on her service--she is not the chef--and is very familiar with tea. We have had many group--red hats, bridal, baby, wedding, etc. and have had nothing but good responses. Hopefully you will try us again. To have had tea in London must have been wonderful.
