British Emporium
This is a lovely tea room and authentic to English tea rooms. No 'high tea' that just adds more dainty sandwiches. A true afternoon tea with bangers, meat pies and other good British food. I did have the actual 'tea' with finger sandwiches which was tasty. No choice of teas, so I missed my favorite Earl Grey and as another reviewer mentioned no 'health teas' - that's a plus in my book. My only disappointment was the scone which seemed more like a biscuit but it came with lemon curd, jam and clotted cream. The service and friendliness of the staff is wonderful and the decor is gorgeous. Warm, inviting and authentic. It was nice to having matching china! A big plus was the ability to purchase items in the adjoining room. We went home with meat pies! Lovely place, lovely people!

Mill Creek Manor Tea Room
Although we weren't able to have tea because that required advance reservations which we didn't know we had a wonderful lunch. This could be described as a guy's tea room! There were sandwiches, fries and other manly meals available. But you do get your choice of tea and they have a large variety. The food was absolutely fabulous. I had the quiche and I've never had one better. The presentation was perfect. The menu, as with most tea rooms, is very pricey but because it was so delicious and such a treat you don't mind. The decor was beautiful; since it was a holiday weekend they were very busy. I've never seen a hostess work so hard and she was very friendly speaking with regulars and new customers as if they were old friends. The only negatives - my personal pet peeves - is the sugar and creamer in the individual wrappers which make a mess on the table. Either use the in the bowl stuff or provide a nice bowl to deposit the trash in. I also am a big fan of real silver instead of nondescript stainless. All in all this is one of the nicest places we've been and the food was definitely in the top ten. Highly recommended!
