The Front Porch Tea Room
What a delightful afternoon. I've never been to a tea room before and wasn't sure what to expect. We started out picking fun hats to wear, then gathered at a cozy table in the back room of the Victorian house in which the tea room is located. The food was very good. I loved the salad with its fruit-flavored poppy seed vinaigrette (I believe), candied pecans and dried cherries(?); the caramel sea salt and the raspberry white chocolate scones; and the tiramisu cake in particular; but the very best thing I had was the yellow peach iced tea. It's one of the best teas I've ever drunk. (The other two courses were soup and sandwiches.) The staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful (especially when taking photos on the front porch afterwards). We weren't rushed at all. If you are looking for a unique, fun, relaxing experience, you should try the Front Porch Tea Room. (And don't forget to check out the gift shop upstairs.)
