Tea Station San Diego 2
I used to visit Tea Station (on Clairemont Mesa Blvd, San Diego) quite frequently and since I have returned from the Bay area, I have noticed that the quality of the drinks and the customer service has eroded considerably. I usually ordered the taro milk tea, and what used to make this drink distinctive compared to other stores is that Tea Station actually used real chunks of taro in their drinks. However, the most recent drink I had here of this variety was made up of purple taro powder and sugar. Needless to say, it tasted terrible. The price of drinks here had also increased since the last time I visited and the service (if you can call it that) rendered was horrible. What really compelled me to write this negative review was my wife’s visit to this joint this evening. She reported that she had ordered a red bean drink which was an off red colored that tasted like sugar water. When she went to complain to the employee, he frowned at her and promptly dumped her drink down the drain. This same employee then struck up an argument with her saying that this is how they have always made it and that this was how it was supposed to taste. This was not the first time my wife had ordered this drink and that was why she complained about the quality of the drink tonight. We have discussed it over and decided that we will never return to this establishment due to its inferior ingredients and overpriced drinks and terrible customer service. In reading some of the previous reviews, it appears that we are not the only customer to have had bad experiences here and that my wife’s experience was not an anomaly. If there was an option to give this store a negative rating for its service, I would have picked that.
