TakeTime ForTea
When she had a location, her tea room was delightful -- it was our first experience with tea rooms, and got us started on visiting every one we can find in the area. But her location was so hard to find that it didn't make it. Now she comes to YOUR place. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

A Taste of Britain
They have moved to the Eagles Village Shopping Center at Lancaster (or is it Lincoln there?) and Conestoga Roads. The new place is nice with a fresh feel but lacks the charm that comes with fireplaces and tablecloths. The tables were bare and the chairs not particularly comfortable so it felt a bit like a cafe. The tea sandwiches used only a white and a wheat bread, were stacked together and cut into quarters all at the same time so they stuck together--which was the only interesting thing about them. However, the scone was the best I've ever had! I'll go back just because of the cherry scone.

The Painted Tea Cup
This is an update to my previous review, because we have visited the new location. It is as charming as we expected, and the food and tea just as good. However, we were dismayed with the plastic over the tablecloth, which detracted from the ambiance. Also dismayed that each person isn't allowed their own choice of tea, but two made to choose the same one and share. For $19/person, we expect our own. This tea room is different from all the others in that the owner chooses your menu and your only choice is tea, but this is not a problem since we always enjoy what she has chosen for us. Always excellent.
Tearoom response:
Pat, thank you for taking the time to review the painted tea cup. I have visted many tea rooms and the biggest disappointment is my 2nd cup of tea is not HOT! I decided I would serve my customers each cup and know that the first cup is as hot as the last cup. To accomplish this, each table selects two loose teas. Unfortunately I am unable to keep 20-30 pots warm. A solution to the this would be that I would leave the pot on the table. Please let me know when you visit again that your party would prefer the pots left. I try hard to give all my customers a wonderful experience. Please just let me know. Thanks for the info!!!!

Cambridge Tea Room
The Cambridge Tea Room is in a store-front of a shopping center. The charm of a Victorian (or even old) house with a fireplace is therefore out of the question, so the ambiance is lacking. However the food was good, as were the teas. The service was acceptable, but a little slow because it seemed to be only one person serving the entire room. Worthwhile going back to, but not a favorite.

Special Teas Tea Room
We have enjoyed this tea room three times now and have been pleased with it. The ambiance is pleasant and the food priced well. Neither the ambiance nor food makes us go Wow! thus the lack of 'excellent', but we had no complaints. But quite acceptable.

Simpson House Tea Room
We go a different tea room once each month, ranging from this area eastward through to Mullica Hill, NJ, and Wilmington, DE, so have made the circuit several times (mostly Delaware County). We consider the Simpson House one of the very best. I have no complaint other than the distance to get there.
