Bella's Teas & Treats
Stopped in for tea on a Sunday afternoon. Cute little place but more Cafe than Tea room. Nice decor but stale canned music. They serve sandwiches, scones and tea but its served more like a traditional restaurant than a Victorian Tea Room. Nothing on the menu advertised what my friend and I would consider 'Having Tea'. Sandwich selection was limited. Sandwiches were full sized and served with a side salad on the same plate. Scones were good but only served with Lemon Curd, no clotted cream or butter. Waiter was the owners young son. He did ok but did'nt get our Tea order right. For a Tea shop to be ranked #24 of 332 in California we expected more.
Tearoom response:
Thank you for your comment. We offer every guest a Victorian setting. At the same time we welcome all walk-in with out reservations. Our menu offers our walk-ins a sit down lunch. In addition we do offer a high tea experience to those looking for that. It is a shame that you did not take the time to communicate your concerns with myself or my wife. We see so many tea rooms closing therefore, walk-ins are inportant to our tea room. We are proud of our tea selection and the presentation we present to every one that visits Bella's Teas & Treats.
