Palmetto Coffee Shoppe and Tea Room
My friend, Karen, and I traveled an hour to have high tea at the new location of Palmetto Tea Room. She has a separate location now from the coffee shop. Karen and I have been finding and traveling to tea rooms for the last seven years. It is a hobby of ours. And we rate and compare tea rooms, based on ambiance, food, and service. This place has it all! The tea room itself is really lovely and has a unique history, as does the whole town of Camden. It is in the renovated carriage house of a huge, historic home. Phyllis, the owner of the tea room has done an amazing job decorating and preparing the tea room. Big thumbs up for the ambiance! The food was truly remarkable - the scones, quiche, cucumber sandwiches, true red velvet brownies, cranberry pecan coleslaw, etc, etc, etc. Every bite of EVERY item was a taste of heaven! I even bought some to take home! As for the service, well... She was true, southern hospitality to the core. We could not have been treated any better! True tea rooms are a dying tradition. The economy has been the downfall of so many that we have visited. And they are becoming more and more difficult to find. I hope that folks will make the Palmetto Tea Room a frequent place to visit. You need to make reservations, so please call Phyllis and reserve your event today! You will not be disappointed!

La Dolce Gourmet Bakery, Coffee & Tea Bar
We drove two hours today, to visit is wonderful tea room. We experienced the tea tasting with Lady Kelly followed by afternoon tea. It was a tremendous experience! We have visited tea rooms all over NC, SC and even down into Florida, and this ranks as one the top places we have been. They have a world class pastry chef and the owner, Lady Kelly, is a trained tea master, both in England and in the US. She also blends many of her own teas, which are marvelous. The tea tasting experience with her was certainly a first for us, as no other tearoom we've ever been to offers this service. We thought we knew a lot about tea....but she taught us SO much! If you have an opportunity, take advantage of both the tea tasting and the afternoon tea. It is well worth the time and money! La Dolce gets a HUGE thumbs up from us!

Lady Bedford's Tea Parlour
My friend and I visited Lady Bedford's on 12/14. It was our first time there, and we were certainly NOT disappointed! It is a small tea room, but the quality of tea, food and service is amazing! It is most definitely a place I'd love to visit again and I highly recommend Lady Bedford's high tea experience to anyone!

Duncan Hill Inn
Of the many tea rooms I've visited, this is one of my favorite places. The owners, David and Vickie are such wonderfully hospitable people. You'll never meet a sweeeter, kinder person than Vickie. The service is phenomenal and the food is amazing. I ALWAYS end up buying some additional goodies to take home! If you are a tea-room fan, or if you just enjoy great service, food, and a unique experience, then you need to have a High Tea experience here. You'll not be disappointed!

My friend, Karen, and I have visited many tea rooms. This one was most impressive. Just walking up the stairs to the tea room and seeing it for the first time simply took our breath away. It is SO lovely! We chose our tea cups from a tremendous and stunning selection, and then were seated a marvelous High Tea experience. Those of you who appreciate the 'art' of tea will understand why I used the term 'experience.' My friend said it best, 'This makes me happy!' The staff, the food, the experience - all went way above our expectations. I recommend Laura's to everyone. As a matter of fact, my tea-lovin' cousin and I are going back right after Christmas. I can't wait!
