English Rose
The English Rose Tea Room is simply the very best I have visited since leaving England in 1993. Having worked in the restaurant trade most of my working life in management I would like to offer my commments. My party chose a wide selection of goodies from the tradition English afternoon tea, a Nursery Tea, homemade mushroom soup with scone and for my husband a traditional 'ploughman's lunch' including Branston Pickle and pickled onions. This was such a treat for him. The food and presentation was impeccible, even with fine bone china, linen and decent cutlery!. My Darjeeling tea was simply delicious and I seemed to have a bottomless teapot. It was a truly lovely experience and I recommend this tea room very highly. Ms. Joanne is originally from Hampshire, England and has gone out of her way to make sure that the English experience is totally authentic in every way.
Tearoom response:
Dear Marion
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a nice review..this is exactly why the Tea Room exists..to give ex-pats and Anglophile's a taste of the old country! So glad everyone had a great time and come by for a cuppa whenever you're in Carefree.
