One Steep at a Thyme
From the time my daughter and I stepped on the front porch, decorated beautifully in wicker, I just knew we were going to have a wonderful experience, and I was so right! Kathy and her staff were so welcoming from the time we entered this lovely Victorian home and they couldn't have been more gracious! As we perused the menu, we saw that we had several options for many of the seven courses. I have been to many tea rooms from New Jersey to Florida, and have never been given all of those options. From the hot towels upon your arrival, to the teapot shaped crouton served with our salad, no detail had been left out of the wonderful tea experience! All of the food was delicious! It was my birthday and Kathy had even prepared one of the desserts in a teacup with a birthday candle on top and they sang to me! As soon as I got home, I immediately got on the phone to friends to start planning our next visit! I can't wait!! I have to thank my daughter for finding this truly special tea room!

Calabash Garden Tea Room
LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! I visited the Calabash Garden Tea Room with two friends and it was wonderful! We started our 'Ultimate Tea' with a delicious Tomato Bisque. This was just the beginning of our 'Valentine Week' tea experience. Our tea sandwiches continued the theme with a heart shaped gorgonzola sandwich, a red ribboned apricot sandwich and four others that were equally as wonderful. Our chocolate scone with cherry chips was perfect and the desserts of dark chocolate covered strawberry, chocolate mousse in a chocolate cup with cherry on top, fruit skewer, and mint brownie were scrumptious! As you can see, I cannot say enough about this great tea room. If you are in the area,you must visit!
