Madison Tea Room
This is one of the prettiest tea rooms I have ever had the privilege to have afternoon tea in. And the tea and food was wonderful. And to top it all off, Cathy the owner is so warm and friendly. I live 2.5 hours from the tearoom, but I know I'll make the trip again because the Madison Tearoom is worth the drive.

Sweet Afton Tea Room and Restaurant
My cousin and I came here for lunch - it was wonderful! The decor is lovely, very charming. The food was great, more than I could eat. And, they do what most places don't do with their tea - they remove the tea leaves after the tea has steeped, which means that the tea never gets bitter. I wish all tea rooms would do this. The new owners are wonderful - Al chatted with us for quite a while, and on learning that I live in South Carolina, gave me the name of a great BBQ place that I am eager to try. He also told some stories about the tea room and some of the collectables, and treated us with a tasting of one of their favorite desserts. I'm in MI often, and I know I'll return to this tea room again and again.

The Potted Geranium
PERFECTION! I didn't think perfection existed on this earth until I visited this exceptional tea room. The owners were charming and gracious, the building and rooms are outstandingly beautiful, and the food was far superior to anything I have ever had at any tea room, and I have been to many a tea room while traveling extensively in both the US and Europe. The chef here was previously the pastry chef at a Ritz, and the food shows it - and is even better than the teas I have had at 5 different Ritz Carlton's. They experimented for months trying to come up with the perfect scone, and they were successful. Drive, fly, take the train, whatever you need to do to get here, because as far as tea rooms are concerned, the Potted Geranium is Mecca.

Laura's Tea Room
Laura's Tea Room is a very special place. I have been here both on my own and with friends, and felt comfortable and welcome each way. The owner and staff are so nice and friendly, and really love providing a quality experience for everyone. They serve you both iced and hot tea, and the food was fabulous. It's also one of the prettiest tea rooms I have ever been to, and I've been to a lot. Laura's is now my very favorite tea room of all, and I plan to go often.
