O-CHA tea bar
If this place was marketed as a cafe and for bubble tea, it'd be fantastic. However, they market as being a 'modern tea room' which... is way off the mark. It's a bar-style setup, so you have to stand around in a cramped space while teenagers (who know nothing about the product) prepare your drink. The tables are tiny and the chairs so narrow and uncomfortable, I rarely see people spend long in the shop itself. For bubble tea and light cafe fare, their selection is fine, but if you're seeking somewhere to get a well-prepared cuppa something... well, hopefully your tastes are narrow because the selection is incredibly limited.

It saddens me that we were not what you were looking for in a modern tea room. We try to offer a very wide variety of organic loose leaf teas to suit all tastes. Offering 80 different teas, ranging from Formosa Oolong to our always popular Cream Earl Grey through herbal Rooibos tisanes to silver needle white teas, we feel we have the market here covered quite nicely. Our space is indeed small, only 8 tables, we are located in Falls Park and love the idea that we can also be a great place to stop in and grab a fresh brewed tea, iced or hot, and head out to enjoy the park. However, if you were here on the weekend I can imagine in must have seemed crowded. We are thankful to have a booming grab a healthy tea slush and go environment. On the weekdays we offer a wonderful lunch menu and we cater showers and tea parties for all ages, and are often a quiet place to relax and enjoy the river.
I found it rather harsh that you assume the 'teenagers' behind the counter don't know anything about our product. My staff is very well educated and are able to help find the tea that is right for you. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, knowledgeable, approachable staff in the sometimes overwhelming but exciting world of tea. I hope you will stop back in and give us another shot :)
