If you’re looking for bubble tea in Greenville, this is THE spot. I first found it in its Main Street location and fell in love well over ten years ago. Ever since I moved, I’ve searched for a place like OCHA and there is nothing quite like it. It’s one of my must stops when in Greenville. Any of their bubble teas are amazing.

If this place was marketed as a cafe and for bubble tea, it'd be fantastic. However, they market as being a 'modern tea room' which... is way off the mark. It's a bar-style setup, so you have to stand around in a cramped space while teenagers (who know nothing about the product) prepare your drink. The tables are tiny and the chairs so narrow and uncomfortable, I rarely see people spend long in the shop itself. For bubble tea and light cafe fare, their selection is fine, but if you're seeking somewhere to get a well-prepared cuppa something... well, hopefully your tastes are narrow because the selection is incredibly limited.

I had visited their previous location, so when I heard they moved to right on the river, I had to go! A great, open atmosphere overlooking the river, the tea is still fantastic. I haven't tried a tea there I haven't liked; the bubble tea is fantastic (I can't stop getting it, even in winter), and the loose leaf teas are always great as well. My only complaint is that they're sometimes out of the bubble tea flavor I wanted when I walked in - but that just means I get to try something new!

This was an excellent little shop downtown. It is on the 2nd floor of one of the buildings with seats providing a lovely view of Main Street, Greenville. The food, a new age/vegetarian style, was excellent. I highly recommend the tomato soup. My friend and I also got a pot of their Darjeeling hot tea. It was such a smooth blend that I bought a bag of the leaves to take with me. As far as the décor and presentation it made me think more of an eclectic coffee house more than what you would expect for a tea room. To sum things up, I have plans to visit again.
