The Johnston House
It's been at least three years since I visited the Johnston House for tea. The server was curteous and helpful, but she didn't show up often enough. Two persons in our party were elderly and the bathroom was way upstairs. But most shocking was the 'hot water' delivered to the table and the presence of tea bags. At least in an expensive tea room the tea should be made with properly boiling water and served at table with a cosy over top. I have discovered a classier, lovelier tearoom much closer where tea comes to the table made properly in pots, the food is fresh and plentiful and the sisters just charming.
