Teahouse Kuan Yin
i love to spend time at Teahouse Kuan Yin. the staff is knowledgeable, and the tea selection is large and varied. the service is all whole leaf teas, served with timers, a prewarmed second pot (to avoid overbrewing), etc. the experience is focused on tea drinking, and the atmosphere is quiet and warm, with fish tanks and imported textile tablecloths. the available food is of the snack and sandwich variety, good to nibble on as you chat or read a good book. highly recommended.

Queen Mary Tea Room and Restaurant
the food at Queen Mary is delicious. the space is bustling (even on a weekday afternoon) and cramped, packed with knickknacks and flowered everything. i'm sorry to say that most of the tea service keeps the leaves stewing and ultimately destroys the flavor. i have been there with both large and small groups and have found the service to be moderately attentive and not particularly knowledgeable about tea. highly recommended for the pastries, tea sandwiches and sorbet.
