Charlotte's Tea Room
After 4+ years of frequently enjoying Charlotte's Tea Room with various female friends and family members, I finally got my husband to accompany me! He was immediately impressed with the decor and the warm greeting of our waiter, Guy. Mary, my usual server and all around sweetheart, stopped at our table to meet my husband and spent some time chatting with us. Everyone in the place makes you feel like a valued customer as well as a friend! When it came time to place our order, my husband left it up to me. I requested the Hot Cinnamon Spice tea knowing he would love it, and I wasn't wrong. He's not really a tea guy but I think I'm going to have to pick up some to make at home now. He kept mentioning how delicious it was! We split the Tea for Two, and at first he was skeptical that it would be enough food, but after all of the delicious sandwiches, Mary's amazing raisin scones, and dessert (he had the lava cake, I had the caramel apple pastry - both came with creamy vanilla ice cream) he was stuffed! That's quite a feat as he is 6'2' and 210 lbs and has a tremendous appetite! He thought everything was absolutely delicious and that the service was perfectly paced and very attentive without being smother-y. I was relieved because I wanted him to like Charlotte's just as much as I do! Now he understands my love of the place, and I don't think I'll have any trouble convincing him to go back with me!
