The Shoppe at Shady Gables Tearoom
My family and I have been sipping the finest of teas in the serene and comfortable Shady Gables for seveal years now. I have tried some of the other 'tea shops' in Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida to which none can stand up to the warmth that you will feel as you enter Shady Gables. The food is delectable and the service is very professional and friendly at Shady Gables. You are always welcomed when you enter and are made to feel as though you belong, you are not just a customer to this unique tea shoppe, you are now part of the tea family, if only for tea time. My very first time at Shady Gables, I did not like hot tea nor did I think I would like the food seeing as how most of the food was prepared with other foods that I did not like. But I was the first one to finish off my pot of Strawberry Shortcake tea, and ordered another pot, and I believe I was the first person to finish off my food. It was DELICIOUS!!! I am convinced that if anybody experiences this remarkable tea shoppe you will find the same outstanding, serene, cozy, welcoming, beauTEAful tea experience that I have had in the past several years. TeaMap has some ideas of what I should place in this review: The menu has a long descriptive list of loose leaf teas available. The food that is served is wonderful, especially the chicken salad sandwich. After your main course you are delivered a three tiered tray with your finger foods and desserts. These vary sometimes but all have been very tasty!! At last you will receive a small portion of sorbet, again the flavor varies. During your visit to Shady Gables, the atmosphere is a Victorian era decor. Perfect for a tea time!! Also almost every decoration you see is for sale. You will have a spledid time walking around the tea shoppe looking for that special decoration that you just must take home and add to your own decor. Thank you so much Reba and the Shady Gables Tea Family for all the extraordinary tea times that I have had and the ones yet to come.
