High SocieTea House
Great food. Great decor. The owner was vey graciousw but our server was lacking in energy. Another thing, when you make a reservation, check to see if there is a special party going on. Our tea was next to about 10 young and very loud women celebrating a birthday. We couldn't hear our server describing the teas or even have a conversation. Tea is about quiet relaxation, not a game show.

I am so sorry that you did not enjoy your visit. At times our customers come to celebrate a milestone or event and do to their joy, they can be somewhat louder then you would like. Lady Elegant's Tea Room & Gift Shoppe
We called this tearoom and left a message to get a reservation and no one called back. We drove there and we were told there was a specific time for the seating and it took 15 minutes beyond that posted time to actually be seated. We had already waited 45 minutes. When we were seated, we were placed next to a large party of loud women and could not hear ourselves think. Soup was served to us so hot that they needed towels to handle the plates. The other tables did not get the same superheated plates. We were only told after the food came that they ran out of sandwich material and served us primarily only cucumber. The hostess seemed to be straining to be nice- like she doesn't like people. In summary, they do not return calls, the hostess is unfriendly, they do not meet the scheduled time to seat you, they apparently are ready to take your money before figuring out whether or not they have the food you order. There are many other places to have tea in this area and we will probably try them before considering a return trip.
