I was incredibly delighted by the friendly service and wide range of options. My group was delighted that they had options for the vegetarians within us and even the people who don't like tea found a tea to their liking that they would never see outside of the tea room. The decor was absolutely splendid and in the end we even bought the tea cups we used as memorabilia. Everything tasted so good and looked so pretty we must have taken a dozen photos. It is a hidden gem in groveland. For tourist it's a must for locals it's a gift.

Fabulous! Our group of 6 ladies -- The Traveling Tea Tarts -- have been to Dori's twice and just love it. We drive all the way from San Francisco. It is well worth the trip. We will be back again in March! It is one of the best tea shops in CA! The food is delicious! The variety of teas seem endless! Randy and Dori are great hosts!

We look forward to a visit to Dori's Tea Cottage every year when we visit Pine Mountain Lake and I'm thrilled to see how well they are doing. I love their new expansion. It is such a beautiful space with as many treats for the eyes as the taste buds. We have visited quite a few tea house and this is by far our favorite.

Being a Grovelander, I have been to Dori's many times and love it. It has become tradition to take my young granddaughter to tea when she comes to visit - a treat she loves and looks forward to each year. Last week I went to world famous Harrod's in London for a 'proper English tea'. Though the decor at Harrod's is very sophisticated, I was surprised to find that Dorie's is every bit as delicious, MUCH less expensive, and much more personal and inviting.

This is absolutely the most charming tea room we've visited. We are regular customers because of the great food and variety of teas, not to mention the friendliness and the ambiance.

Not only is this the cutest tea house I have ever experienced, it also provides the warmest friendliest service. I felt like I was having tea at a family home. Beautiful classy presentation of the most scrumptious food.

My wife and I discovered Dori's Tea Shop and Cafe during our first visit to the Groveland area last Fall. We had an assortment of finger sandwiches, fresh fruit, delicious pastry and of course Tea! (We love the Paris blend).
Since then, we've made it a point to stop by for the very special lunch that Dori's always delivers...the breads are always fresh, the food is lovingly prepared and the ambiance is special.
Dori's is the Jewel of Groveland/Yosemite.

For my 13th birthday, my parents took me on a surprise outing, which happened to be Dori's Tea Cottage. The waiters had prepared a beautiful table, with balloons on my chair. The service provided here at this tea cottage is exceptional. I enjoyed it immensely. I had wanted a pretty birthday, and I got exactly the thing. Thank you!

This quiant tea room offered a delicious Duchess Tea. We especially enjoyed the orange creamsicle cake for dessert. Dori and Greg have the utmost in knowledge about tea. It is a pleasure to visit here and will return when we are in the area again. We are looking forward to their expansion before the summer season.

On December 30th, my birthday my daughter and a friend took me to Dori's Tea Cottage - I felt like I could have been in London! The Tea Room is so inviting and beautifully set tables. The Tea Cozies often match the kind of tea selected. It was such a festive occasion - Greg & Dori did everything perfect and made it a memorable occasion - even with a lit candle and a birthday serenade. I loved every minute of it! Thanks for an awesome birthday.

Typically, I am a coffee drinker, however, on a recent visit to California, I was enchanted by Dori's Tea Cottage. The atmoshpere is cozy and welcoming. By the time, you leave you will be one of the family. They recommended Paris Tea for my tastes and it is now at the top of my list!!! Don't pass up the opportunity to stop here, try the egg salad and check out all the teaware they have to offer. I highly recommend it!

When I came in for coffee and scones this afternoon and chose a table where I could retrieve my emails on my laptop you're words were
'Oh, we don't like people doing that sort of thing here'!!
That's a fairly normal activity nowadays and I found your attitude extremely unwelcoming which is a rarity in the USA.
Even more surprising was you saying something like that on a cold wet afternoon with an empty cafe when I would have thought the business would have been most welcome!

I've enjoyed Dori's a number of times and can't recommend it enough. The tea selection is large, and the food is out of this world! I strongly recommend the Mediterranean quiche. The flavors blend beautifully. Don't forget to stop by in the winter for a hot cup of tea and fresh out of the oven warm scone! Dori's is a 'can't miss'.

Dori & Greg Jones have become an integral part of the charm of our little town of Groveland. An incredible array of fine teas and delicious tea savories and sweets await anyone who is seeking a little respite from the daily grind. Don't like tea? Have some wine or champagne with your meal!

Dori's Tea Cottage continues to be the highlight of our little town. Owners, Dori and Greg, are so gratious and add much fun to each visit. Dori continues to delight guests with new salads and quiches and in the winter months delicious soups. If there is a special event like a birthday or anniversary, you can bet it is being held at Dori's Tea Cottage. In addition, the gift shop portion of the cottage is very specal too with unique handmade items and tea accessories. It's my favorite place to escape!

When we’re in Groveland, one of our “must do’s” while there is visit Dori’s Tea Cottage. Whether it’s having “high tea” for a late lunch, grabbing a nice cool glass of ice tea, or sipping on a glass of wine before dinner – there’s always a reason to stop and visit Greg and Dori!
We love introducing the place to our friends, who are always delighted to find such a classy, quaint, fun place in Groveland. The scones are mouth-watering, the selection of teas is the best I’ve ever seen (so there’s something for everyone), and the comfortable atmosphere is always welcoming and enjoyable.

After setting up camp near Groveland, Ca., my wife and I drove back into town to 'scope out' the local amenities. We were in need of a late lunch and so we stopped at Dori's Tea Cottage. We never expected such a quaint little spot near Yosemite National Park, complete with wonderful finger sandwiches, delicious deserts and an array of teas unlike any we have seen before. Add to this personal treatment and a very friendly atmosphere and we'd found the perfect place to begin our stay here.

We were on the way out of Yosemite when we stopped at Dori's. It was a treat that rivaled the park experience. I had Fruit Medley Tea which I loved and my friend enjoyed Mojito which I tasted and adored. I had chicken salad on ciabatti It came with fruit and a luscious Peanut Butter Cookie. The presentation of all 4 meals at our table was elegant. The owners were cordial and obviously love what they do. The ambiance of the courtyard was celestial. Can't wait to return!!

I, along with my husband and daughters, stumbled upon Dori's a while back and were very impressed with the teas, food, and gracious hosts. We recently visited a second time and were treated to a similarly pleasant experience. We were so enamored of the delicious mojito iced tea that we bought some to take home. The Paris tea was also a hit. The blueberry and apple scones were to die for. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

What a fabulous find in the California foothills town of Groveland. My friend and I were looking for a nice quiet spot for lunch and voila', we found Dori's Tea Cottage. The quiche was sublime and the lovely courtyard just what we were looking for. We even found precious treasures in the well stocked gift shop. Both Dori and her husband were friendly, courteous and helpful. We will be back!

Any time I go through Groveland I make it a point of stopping to have tea and also bring friends and family. This is the most delightful teahouse and we were lucky enough to have good weather and were able to sit out on the front porch. Had lunch special, sandwich, fruit and delicious orange zest cake for dessert. Highly recommend Dori's and cannot wait for my next visit.

Dori and Greg do an amazing job with their tea service. They have a wide variety of delicious teas and the food is wonderful! If you visit, try the Paris tea...it is my absolute favorite! The atmosphere is clean, cozy and intimate, giving you the opportunity to chat with the owners. In addition, compared to other boutique tea shops that I've visited, Dori's is very reasonably priced. Dori's is a must-see for tea-lovers passing through Groveland.

While having a weekend get-away at my husbands parents lake house in Groveland, my sister-in-law took me to Dori's tea cottage. It was a darling tea house with wonderful charm. The atmosphere was perfect. The tea and scones were delightful. I loved meeting Dori and Greg ... they made us feel so welcome. I will definitely be stopping for tea every time we come for a visit.

The tea is great and the food is AMAZING. Dori's is my MUST stop at place when we are in Groveland. Dori puts out a spread of the most delicious food! We were just there last week, sat outside, watched the world go by and met great people. What a fun time!

We plan our trips to Yosemite from the SF bay area with a stop at Dori's fine offerings. comfortable room, peaceful garden, welcoming hosts, correctly brewed refreshing teas (every sort), plus excellent samplers of tea sandwiches and sweets. When you need a small break along the roadway they pick you up; delightful!

My mom and I recently visited this adorable little tea room and we had an absolutely wonderful time. The owners were very friendly and extremely accommodating of out time schedule. I felt as though i had been transported to the english countryside. Everything was adorable, down to the pastel colored, rose shaped sugar cubes. The selection of teas was extensive (mostly whole leaf i believe) and their food was all excellent. We shared a sampler for two which came with a variety of tea sandwiches (all wonderful) and several small desserts. Their teas were so good that i bought five! Highly recommended!

This is a great and unexpected find in Groveland. My wife and I have had tea at many wonderful places including the Ritz Carlton and Neiman Marcus in San Francisco and the Palm Court at the Waldorf Hotel in London and the food at Dori's is every bit as good, if not better as it is so fresh. Don't miss this place!

My wife and I had an entirely pleasant time at Dori's Tea Cottage last week. The tea list is extensive (4 pages!) and the tea was excellent. The food (sandwich sampler) was delicate and tasty and went well with the tea. The scones are the best! The ambience is consistent with the fare and the service is great. I've already recommended to several friends.

My husband I discovered Dori's on Yelp with high ratings. Our Valentine's Day visit was absolutely delicious (including recommendations and samples of teas we had never tried which we loved). The Tea Cottage is warm, friendly and intimate...perfect for our occasion, with wonderful potential for birthday parties and wedding/baby showers. The adjoining tea shop is full of beautiful tea cups, pots and a wide range of accessories. Dori, Greg and other guests at the Cottage were welcoming and personable making our visit memorable. We fully intend to recommend Dori's to friends interested in tea and plan on return visits with family.

Excellent friendly service. As soon as you are seated you are offered a number of teas to 'taste'. It was difficult to decide on what to order as it all sounded so good. I found myself wondering when I can go back!

Love it! What a pleasant treat--my knitting group has made this a regular stop on our annual retreat. I love starting with the Wedding Tea--served in a large pot, the combination of vanilla with just a hint of rose petals, this white tea is delicate on the palate and doubles as aromatherapy. Paris is a close second...
Shortly thereafter, an array of ladylike noshes arrive, including an amazing raspberry-vanilla scone, which was oddly reminiscent of Cap'n Crunch Crunch Berries! A nod is due the chicken salad, of which I could have eaten an entire bowl, as well as the chocolate butter pecan cake. Everything is very flavorful and rich. Of course, the proprietors are very attentive.
A terrific place to spend a leisurely afternoon, best enjoyed with a group of friends.

We stumbled upon this tea room on the way home from Yosemite. It was a breath of fresh air tucked in between the other, more expected, stores along the main drag of Groveland. The exterior is adorable, and the interior has a calm and peaceful air. The little sandwiches were terrific, and although I'm not a big tea drinker, I fouhd the tea delicious and drank the entire pot (the tea selection is enormous). Dori and Greg were just wonderful. It's a great place to stop between Yosemite and San Francisco.

Dori and Greg have created an English Oasis on the road to Yosemite. I have been at tea time in London, and this is it! They are so comfortably welcoming you feel like you are in your own English countryside manor. They offer a wide variety of teas including decaf and flavored types. The little sandwiches are scrumptious, and the scones are TERRIFIC! Even if you just go for the scones you will love it. They also offer boxed lunches to go, but we have always eaten in. I am a guy and I have no hesitation in inviting my male friends to come with me to Dori's for tea (they usually give me the blue tea cup). Yes, and that is also a special part of their teas: the variety of tea cups and pots they serve in. This is a place we have returned to often, and have never been disappointed. We have loved it every time!.

mM friend and I stopped for lunch and ended up having 'tea' instead-we were so glad we took the time-everything was delicious and the experience was so relaxing-plus Dori and Greg were very nice and accomodating-I recommend this place highly, even if you are excited about getting to Yosemite, or in a hurry to get home after a visit there.

We had the pleasure of visiting Dori's for late morning tea. The courtyard is refreshingly beautiful and the interior simply charming. The selection of teas was tremendous. Dori served us our selection and brought us hot out of the oven scones (Apple Cinnamon to die for!). The presentation was charming with unique cup and saucer for us both. Dori and her husband provided insight into the area. I am certain we will visit again during our stay in the Yosemite area. A wonderful selection of hot and cold teas. The menu features a wide variety of items sure to suit the tastes of any and all. Stop here on the way to Yosemite and enjoy the charm. AND TEA!

We had the opportunity to visit Dori's Tea Cottage in August. Initially, my husband & son planned to drop my daughter & I off for a 'girls' tea.' After walking through the quaint courtyard and peeking into adorable shop, they decided to stay & 'give it a try.' The atmosphere was wonderful, the tea selection was immense & the service, bar none. We raved about the tea, sandwiches & scones. The scones were warm, chewy fresh-from-the-oven pieces of happiness for our taste buds. We're still talking about them a month later! :)
It was the perfect 'first tea' experience for my 5 year old daughter. Can't wait to return!
Thank you for a most delightful time!

From the welcoming pathway to Dori's Tea Cottage, to the perfectly appointed gift boutique filled with treasures...trust me...you will find much more than tea and uniques gifts waiting for you. Dori and Greg have created such a warm ambience in this old country home. Both of these folks couldn't have been kinder to my friend and me. Their genuine love for making strangers feel welcome, peaceful, and special, is invigorating! Our luncheon made for a memory I'll never forget. The scrumptious sandwiches served with the Duchess Dorothy lunch, (the sampler for two), filled my tummy and my soul with delight! The extensive tea menu makes it difficult to decide just which flavor to try. I recommend the iced Rooibos Mojito. No doubt I will return to this
charming respite, again and again. Thank you Dori and Greg! xo

How thrilled my daughter and I were to drive into the mountain town of Groveland and see Dori's Tea Cottage on Main Street. We knew we had to pay a visit. Two other ladies of our extended family joined us and we all had a fabulous time! The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation and service was delightful. It was a very memorable 'tea-time' and we highly recommend this special spot.

I have always loved tea houses while living in the Bay Area. Imagine my delight to hear that the residents and visitors of our Groveland community would be blessed with a fabulous business such as Dori's Tea Cottage. Dori and Greg are wonderful people and their business is a treasure. I love meeting my friends for lunch, or stopping in for something cool to drink. This not just for the ladies. My husband, son and male friends have enjoyed the Dori's Tea Cottage experience too. The scones are the best ever!!!!

My family just returned from a week's stay at Pine Mountain Lake in Groveland. Dori's Tea Cottage was one of the highlights of the vacation. Their tea selection, tea knowledge tea 'atmosphere' were all excellent. The food was the best of any place we ate in Groveland. My family visited Dori's 3 time! On top of great teas and food, the service was 'out-of-this-world good'. Both Dori and Greg seemed like long time friends after our first visit.
My son is a 'student of teas' and found the discussion of tea with Dori and Greg to be very enjoyable.
The cottage was nicely decorated, fully stocked with tea memorabilia very cozy, but not at all crowded. Dori's special touch on the sandwiches, scones and desserts were truly something special. We tasted many teas and purchased many others for our use back home.
The next time we travel Hwy. 120, we will be sure to stop and enjoy an hour or so with our new friends Dori and Greg.

Our mom Connie brought us in to her favorite little tea room, and to enjoy what we would call the best scones we've ever tasted! They are made so differently from the many scones I've tasted in many tea rooms in Calif. They were softer/chewier almost like a thick, fresh baked cookie, and the Apple-Cinnamon ones they were serving that day were sooo yummy! So good, that on the way out of town the next day, we had to stop by and get a bunch to-go for the drive home, along w/ a a couple teas from their to-go hot and iced tea selection. We like the Black Currant black flavored tea.
They have many teas to choose from, and we just wanted a snack before dinner..so we had the 'Maiden Marilyn Cottage Tea' which came w/ two scones, small pot of tea, tea biscuits and lemon curd. I enjoyed the classic chai tea w/ mine. It hit the spot.
Atmosphere is very quaint w/ a small shop for tea paraphanalia. I recommend everyone stopping here for bite, tea, or scones on the way to Yosemite! Though a small tea room, the 4 of us were able to get seated toward the late afternoon w/o a reservation.

Absolutely wonderful. The feeling when entering the tea cottage is warm and friendly. There is a delightful choice of teas, tea pots and cups. Dori and her husband are a joy. In the tea room, the food and tea were beautifully presented and equally as good. We will return.

My friend and I stumbled onto Dori's after the grueling descent from Yosemite; what a relief to find such a cozy room with such delightful hosts! The tea was excellent, the surroundings lovely and the scone was the best--according to my friend, who prefers them over most pastries! We took tea samples with us, along with purchases of 'tried and true' teas, and found the new ones were to become favorites! We'll be back, Dori, because you made us feel so welcome! I only wish your tearoom was closer to home so I could make visiting a weekly routine! Instead, I'll have to settle for thinking of you and your tearoom as I drink your teas.
-

Not only was the tea and service excellent, but the food for lunch was out of this world! Truly encapsulating a British style, Dori's tea cottage was a treat to experience! Looking for something different? Try this place!
P.S. I loooooooooved the ginger snap cookies with lemon curd! I'd never heard of half the food served!

Our Red Hat chapter had an outing to Dori's Tea Cottage for Luncheon Tea today, March 21st 2010. Wow! what a marvelous place! The atmosphere is so charming and comfortable. The boutique is loaded with tea related items and compliments. Great owners and server, the food and all the varieties of tea. You can try any of the tea varieties on their menu. Several of us that are not true tea lovers were converted by the Apricot Green Tea. We all had such an enjoyable time. We will return again and again. This is a 10++++++.

Dori's Tea Cottage is a favorite place to meet friends and enjoy a leisurely lunch. I have chosen a new tea each time and am convinced that each one is my favorite - until I taste the next one! And Dori's scones are perfectly wonderful.

Absolutely wonderful! I am so glad that we stumbled upon this beautiful little tearoom. They have an excellent vegetarian selection, as well as plenty of choices for the meat eater. Despite being a walking sweet-tooth, I was actually sad when I ran out of the tasty little sandwiches and had to move on to the decadent sweets. The tea selection was brilliant and varied, and the host and hostess were lovely enough to come out and offer tastes and smells of other teas over the course of our time there. And finally: the price. Actually quite reasonable. I've spent more for less. We'll definitely be making the journey back.

Our group of six goes to tea shops three times a year to celebrate birthdays. Dori's was one of the best high tea lunches we have enjoyed. All the food was excellant. Highly recommend the trip up Hwy 120 to Groveland.

What a wonderful place! The service was excellent, and the food outstanding! The tearoom is light and airy, with an outdoor patio. There was an extensive tea menu with all types of tea to suit any tastes. One member of our group had iced tea, and was given a sample taste of each of the daily specials to help her decide which she wanted. After those of us drinking hot tea had emptied our pots, the owner brought us a different tea to try. All were delicious. The tea sandwiches were very tasty, and Dori said she's frequently changing up the menu. The chicken salad starter was one of the best I've had, and the sweets were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend Dori's---in fact our group was talking about a return trip, as one of our regulars was unable to make this trip--we want her to experience Dori's.

We just spent a lovely weekend in Groveland where we enjoyed tea at Dori's three times. While I'm usually a hot tea drinker, it was so hot the first day we tried the 'Mojito' iced tea which was delicious. A wide variety of high quality loose teas and a delicious assortment of homemade goods. The shop is charming and Dori and James are personable and very helpful.

I have visited Dori's Tea Cottage on several occasions and always have had a wonderful experience. They have a large selection of teas on the menu and a wonderful gift shop where you can purchase tea and tea-related items. The food is superb, the service warm and friendly, and the atmosphere is charming and comfortable. What a gift to the Groveland community!

Everything at Dori's was excellent!! They had quite a variety of luscious loose teas with quaint ambiance and cheerful and knowledgeable service. The sandwiches were delicious -- Dori's had varieties I had never seen at tea rooms before! We had a group of 7 visit today -- We were very well taken care of even with our picky little princesses :) A charming place to visit in Groveland!

We stopped at Dori's on our way home from hiking in Yosemite. It was a hot day, so we selected ice tea to drink. There were four choices to choose from and they were delicious. We had the sampler for two with cold soup and many different sandwiches along with delectable warm scones. Everything was delicious and refreshing. I highly recommend this place to everyone traveling through Groveland.

I visited Dori's on a recommendation from my sister, and found it a wonderful experience all-around. Their teas, of which my group sampled several, were all amazing, even the___ which I had never heard of before. Our favorite sandwiches were the Egg salad and the Blue cheese with walnut and pear, but all of them were exceptional, and all were finished quickly. But I think the best part were the white chocolate and raspberry scones, so good we bought extra for the trip home.
-

My daughters and I stopped in for tea after a long drive from San Jose. We were treated to a delightful combination of delicious sandwiches, savories and sweets along with hot tea and refreshing ice tea! I was glad to see they were so busy that we had to wait a few minutes!! See you next time we are on 120!

My husband and I visited Dori's Tea Cottage last weekend, and we had a lovely time. Dori and her husband Greg were so friendly, helpful and accommodating - making our our morning tea a delight. I look forward to my next visit to Groveland, and to another delicious tea. Thank you Dori and Greg!

A very pleasant experience. I have long been an afternoon tea 'buff' and since by husband is Canadian we drink tea frequently. This was a very good experience.

A big fan
A friend and I visited Dori's this weekend. It was delightful. The shop is cheerful and warm. We were greeted with a cup of hot tea and ginger cookie. The food is fresh, homemade and wonderful. The tea items for sale are unique and very affordable. A great place to come back to.

My mother, sister and I (with our young daughters) had our first visit at Dori's Tea Cottage. Dori and her staff were extremely welcoming and presented a wonderful afternoon tea for our party. The food was delicious and the selection of tea is amazing! Dori knew we stopped in for my daughter's 8th birthday so she even brought out a small, lemon bar with a lit candle for the B-day girl. Very sweet touch. It was an enjoyable afternoon. We will visit Dori's Tea Cottage again soon.
-
Tim
A delightful find to be sure. Very nice selection of loose-leaf teas prepared perfectly, with a range to satisfy every whim. The food is very creative, delicious and very satisfying--especially the creative cream cheese sandwiches (like pesto and olive). A must-stop if you are in the area or heading to Yosemite, and well-worth a detour. Warm & inviting, very intimate.

I visited with Helen Macias on May 8, 2009 and agree with EVERYTHING that she said as we dined together and had the same meal items. Being a tea lover of many years, I can truly say that the most enjoyable tea I've ever esperienced was Dori's Tea Cottage. Both the palate and the eye were sated as the delectable goodies were as comely to the eye as to the mouth. Portions were generous, beautifully presented, varied, fresh, and filling. That Greg and Dori enjoy the operating of their business is obvious. As we observed other customers who dined at the same time as we, we found them to be effusive in their praise of food, ambience, gift shop, and warmth of the general environment. I was particularly pleased to find that the smoky Russian Caravan and Lapsang Suchong teas were in stock (as I rarely find them when out sipping). Exquisite experience.

Dori's Tea Cottage is a must-stop destination for a truly delightful and memorable tea experience. The charming cottage, nestled in a lush garden setting, welcomes visitors with its' hand-painted murals, out-door seating and lovely potted plants. Owners Greg & Dori Jones personally greet each guest and present an extensive menu of quality teas and tempting lunch offerings. My companion and I chose the 'Duchess Dorothy Sampler' and feasted on such sandwich delights as Sun-dried Tomato & Feta and Pesto & Pine Nut along with assorted sweets and scones to die for. My tea selection was a heavenly Earl Grey with Lavender. We had ample time to browse the artfully arranged Gift Shop and marvel at the decorative touches on display throughout the cottage. Greg and Dori have dedicated themselves to making their Tea Cottage an inviting oasis for anyone who desires a taste of old world hospitality and appreciates the finer things in life.

What a lovely surprise on our way to Yosemite! Having just driven up from SFO airport after a long flight, we were starving and at 3 o'clock my Tea and sandwich urge was more than fulfilled at this charming cottage.
Excellent Lapsang and the tea-cozies are adorable.

Dori's Tea Cottage is an inviting, delicious stop for both the traveler seeking an enjoyable stop on the way to Yosemite and the tea aficionado alike. Nestled in the heart of Main Street in Groveland, Dori's Tea Cottage offers delicious eats, an impressive selection of teas, and a warm, inviting atmosphere that is sure to please. In the boutique I purchased several gifts for friends and a few things for my own home. Service was excellent and the owners were friendly and warm. Can't wait for our next visit!

I had a very pleasant morning sipping tea and sampling wonderful tea treats. The soup was delicious and hot. The tea sandwiches had a variety of fillings that were all tasty. The tea cake, cookies and fruit were all great. The presentation and service were excellent. A true tea room environment, relaxing and inviting. I especially liked browsing in the boutique. There was a nice assortment of quality items for sale. Last but not least was the very exciting Antique Tea Wear Collection.Oh, Yes. Did I forget to mention the wide assortment of fine teas?

Dori's serves an English-style lunch, and if you are into tea, you have to check this out. Quaint and charming tea room in a historic location, with no detail left behind. The décor, the ambiance, the table settings, the tea cups, and everything else are a tea-lover's dream.
They offer a huge selection of teas, including extensive black, green, white, herbal, Oolong, Rooibos, decaffeinated, and iced teas along with numerous premium teas. Lunch servings are $9-16 per person and includes several finger sandwiches, some desserts like fruit and cake and, of course, a scone.
Everything is homemade and fresh, and there is a variety of unique and tasty sandwiches such as Roasted Garlic/Herb with Cucumber, Ham and Apricot Preserves, Pesto and Pine Nuts, and Sundried Tomato and Feta. The service could not be any warmer or more attentive. Dori’s also offers snacks, drinks, and lunches to go and has a boutique filled with a unique selection of teas, tea accessories, and gifts.

I have visited Dori's Tea Cottage 4 times, it is a very calm and friendly and each time has been excellent. My last visit this past Saturday, was the 1st day they started offer soup and on a rainy, cold day it was the perfect addition to their Tea Menu. So, if you are ever on Hwy 120 in Groveland, CA I highly recommend allowing time to stop by Dori's Tea Cottage, for a relaxing Lunch and friendly conversation.

I have visited Dori's Tea Cottage on two occasions and both times have found it to be such a wonderful experience. The decor, food, knowledge of teas and friendly atmosphere gives it a charm all of its own. Dori and husband, Greg, mingle with the customers, answer questions, and just make you feel welcome. The gift shop has a truly wonderful selection of gifts. I really appreciated the genuine warm and friendly atmosphere this tea cottage provided for a wonderful dining experience. I am looking forward to my next visit!!!

A wonderful little tea shop. It's just what we needed in our small community. A lovely place to experience a relaxing meal and spend time with friends the way people used to do. Different and refreshing. I highly recommend it!

Absolutely delightful service and wonderful little sandwiches and sweets! Dori and Greg have created a jewel that is not to be missed. Well worth a trip from Stockton to enjoy a Fall afternoon. We simply couldn't decide which of the treats was our favorite...everything fresh and delicious. We'll return.

My father and I loved Dori's Tea Cottage! We were on our way to Yosemite, when we were lured in by DTC's charmingly European front patio. We found that the food was delicious and beautifully displayed as well. I especially enjoyed the scones, which were warm and crunchy on the outside. Both the staff and customers (all locals that day) were very friendly.

I have found the Savoy in the Mountains! This place starts out by being a lovely place, with seating in the romantic garden or in the antique-like inside. Greg, Dori’s husband, warmly greeted my wife and I on both of our visits. The tea is high quality (not your Lipton cup of tea, I’ll tell you.), and the authentic homemade sandwiches brought me back to our visits in England. Even if you’re just on your way to Yosemite, call ahead and Dori will make the sandwiches TO GO. I don’t know how you’d get the tea for the road, but don’t miss it. It is great. This place is so good we will make it a part of every trip. It is like a personal visit in London.

What a joy to find a tea room close to our favorite vacation spot! Dori's cute little business was a bright spot, beautifully decorated, with the nicest sign in the whole town. We brought our two little ones with us - age 2 and 4 - and they were enthralled. They enjoyed their lemonade as we enjoyed our delicious tea and food. A wonderful welcome and knowledgeable 'tea talk' plus attention to our smallest tea partners made the afternoon perfect. A little less heat and we would have enjoyed dining outside, but August weather was warm and so we were inside cool as a cucumber. The sandwiches were extremely tasty! Go, for sure!

Dori's Tea Cottage was a delightful experience, along with great tasting tea and food. They had a wide variety of teas to choose from, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was very cozy, cute, and welcoming. The couple that own it were very warm and inviting. They also have a wonderful gift shop where I found some wonderful items to buy. I'd highly recommend this to anyone, especially if you're traveling to Yosemite National Park on Highway 120. Stop in Groveland for a delightful experience.

My mother and I visited Dori's for the first time about a month ago. We're looking forward to a return trip! The owners are very friendly and accomodating, offering a wide choice of teas. We had a delicious lunch of 'samplers', enjoying every bite in the clean, calm, bright atmosphere. Perfectly brewed hot tea, in beautiful china, and a handmade cozy, attentive service. And both of us 'sampled' their retail area, as well! Unique, well-priced merchandise. We highly recommend Dori's!

As you first walk in the door you are transferred immediately to a warm inviting place with the owners welcoming you to their home....and so it seems as you taste the wonderful teas and food. Memories of this place bring back good feelings and I will definitely be back! The scones and white peach tea makes you wanting for more! A must to visit!

My daughter and I had the Dutchess Dorothy which was a little sample of evrything along with our choice of tea, since it was hot outside we opted for the iced tea. Everything was delicious and there wasn't a morsel that I didn't throughly enjoy! We started out with gingersnaps and delicious lemon curd. Dori and Greg were delightful!

My first visit to a luncheon at a cottage setup just as a tearoom was done with a Brit, her American husband and their 12 year old son. All had a great time, although the 12 year old thought he was drinking his shampoo when he tasted one of the teas. :) All had a great time and didn't break any of the beautiful plates and cups.

We were passing throug Groveland on our trip to California. As we stopped we saw a nice little place to have lunch and decided to give it a go. This turned out to be quite the experience. Delicious food and iced tea, undoubtedly prepeared with great love.
We enjoyed our afternoon tea on the terrace in the sun. This is a place we did not search for, but were glad to find!

a great place to spent the afternoon reading in the sun with a nice cup of tea and excellent scones. Or a place to just stop by for a cup of tea or a quick look in the adorable shop with everything you need to make your one tea party.

Staying at Pine Mountain Lake, we visited Groveland, as we always do -- and I couldn't believe my eyes: a tearoom east of Priest Grade! We returned the next day during opening hours (10 to 4). Coming from the San Jose area, I was expecting something similar to Lisa's Tea Treasures. My expectations were exceeded.
Personal service by the personable proprietors is one thing that sets Dori's Tea Cottage apart from the chain. The beautiful little garden in the front and the tastefully appointed interior added to the tea experience, which by itself would have been worth climbing Old Priest Grade.
The teas, of which the choice is vast, were excellent (we tried English Breakfast, Apricot Green, and a herbal variety by the large pot). The food was wonderful too. We visited a 2nd time on our way back and were as happy (our kids too!)

Dori's Tea Cottage is a beautiful and relaxing place to have lunch or a snack. The service is hometown friendly and warm. The variety of sandwiches and the amount of food will make even the most serious appetite happy. Every detail makes you feel special from the time you enter to the time you leave.
The retail side of the cottage is full of lovely gifts and teas.
Dori and Greg have made a wonderful addition to Groveland--for locals or tourists on their way to Yosemite.
