Simply TeaVine
My husband and I recently were visiting a friend who had moved to Hattiesburg from Michigan, our home state. My friend knows of my love of visiting tea rooms so she took us to Simply TeaVine. What a surprise it was to enter into this very spacious and beautifully decorated tearoom. It is located on the second floor of an old church office building. There are many different seating areas including some very intimate little nooks, all well appointed. Our table had a beautiful crystal chandelier hanging over it. Simply TeaVine specializes in loose-leaf teas. Dean was our very hospitable hostess and spent time with us talking about the teas and food selections. My friend and husband had the homemade tomato soup and cucumber sandwich. Their soup was a full bowl and delicious. I had the two-tier silver server of savories and sweets. Everything was delicious and served beautifully. The tearoom has their own 100-page recipe book called Ms. Sippy. The name refers to the mascot swan that graces the entrance to the tearoom. Thank you, Dean and staff, for creating a most memorable tea luncheon while visiting Hattiesburg.
