Linde Lane Tearoom
My goal in life it to go to all tea rooms, and I have been to many. Linde Lane is darling, well appointed decor both for adults and children. Lovely touches, and gift items. Wonderful hats for sale, very elaborate. We all agreed it has a wonderful feeling when you walk in. They first served sorbet with shortbread cookie to start followed by a very good clam chowder AND a lovely salad with mixed greens.Perhaps the sorbet should have been served after the soup and salad We then had wonderful scones. They served one per person but two different types. I would suggest making them either the same kind or much smaller so that you could taste each. We split ours so that we could taste each one. Up to that point it was wonderful and creative. For me and my friends, there were 7 of us, the only negative was the sandwiches. Tiny, with not much filling, however we were served plenty to start with. But we wished they had followed through. The egg was just regular egg. Crab had too much filler and should have been warmed, cucumber a little soggy desserts were okay. But again, all in all very nice, just work on the sandwiches

DarTealing Lounge
I am so sorry I have not written a review before this. We came to this lovely tea room in December. I now want to take some friends to tea this month and Dar Tealing popped into my mind. This tea room is so creative in their sandwiches. Our group all loved the fish and chips sandwiches. We ordered it because it sounded so different. It was, and wonderful. I go to many many tea rooms even while traveling across the country and this is good. What it lacks in area (not a bad location, in S.F., just different) surely makes up for the food and again the creativity. Can't wait to go back.

Power's Mansion Tea Time
My frends and I have been going to tea rooms for years. In fact, we have become pretty good at what to look for. Powers mansion Teahouse fits our critiera to a 'tea' Started with wonderful sweet potato soup with a tasty quiche. Served nice and hot. Scones were great! Two large each. Sandwiches fresh and tasty. The open face red pepper sandwich was a little lacking. Deserts..Yum. lemon pound cake, Really we could't finish it all. Service was great. In the past, we loved the food at 'an afternoon to remember' in New Castle but unfortunately it closed But...we found out that the cooks that were there opened in this lovely B&B. Charming room, unrushed and great service. At this trip I drove 11/2 hours and worth it. We will be back.

Crown & Crumpet
Four of us just came back from Crown and Crumpet. We go to many many tea rooms, and just love trying new places. The owners and staff of Crown and Crumpet were WONDERFUL! When I said I liked my tea and soup hot, I received it hot. The decor is lovely airy, and not too fru-fru. Once again the staff was great. We were there quite awile and were not a bit rushed. We think the only thing that they need to work on is the food, especially the sandwiches. Although fresh, (to me, very important) somewhat.ordinary. All on white or wheat bread. Example, perhaps some fillings could be on baggetts, tiny cream puffs, or mini- muffins, maybe even one served warm. All in all we will go back. Great afternoon.

Lovejoy's Tea Room
My goal in life is to go to all tea rooms. This one had very high points in my book No.1 REAL devonshire cream (not faux) Our server was delightful and attentive to our every need.I think perhaps there are only two areas that need improvement. I believe there could be a bit more filling in the sandwitches. (all looked somewhat the same) but the bread very fresh. The bathroom really needed some help, and should be delt with a.s.a.p. Other then that, we had a wonderful time and will go back. Carole.
