Angel Tea Room
My sister and I took our Mom to the Angel Tea Room this year for our second annual pre-Mother's Day traditional afternoon tea. The first year was a sad one for our Mom, which I had explained when making the reservations. The entire staff was so overwhelmingly kind and thoughtful that Mom had a terrific time and forgot her sadness for just a moment. In fact, Mom loved it so much that she finally got my Dad to go with her for lunch (cottage pie - what else)! This year at Mother's Day we three were welcomed just as warmly and treated to the most exquisite afternoon tea imaginable. Everything from the sandwiches to the specialty cheeses and homemade desserts was delicious. Not to mention the never empty pot of tea. We happily drive from New Port Richey even though there are closer tea rooms, because once you've had the best, why settle?
