Anna Marie's Teas
For years, my husband has not been great with the gift shopping. He thinks that he is being pretty slick since he found out they have a website. Now he just whips out the laptop. Recently he made a comment about their tea parties -- 'It is hard to find such an affordable indulgence in this economy' to which I just smiled! How would he know? He has attended one of their Mystery Dinners but I've usually gone to the tea parties with friends & family. Although I might add that with with care that goes into the seating, I'm comfortable enough that I have gone alone so don't let that hold you back. I just attended another one of their wonderful tea parties this weekend. They are actually held in a beautiful historical home across the street from the shop called the Bohnet House. Once again, it was a delight. I especially appreciate the tea knowledge held by the staff. The hostess selects the tea blend to compliment the menu and often shares recipes in their blog. My only complaint -- I get so relaxed at these teas that I never want them to end.

This shop can get busy during special Harvard Square activities but they seem to take it in stride. The place is small so I've usually gotten my tea to go. With such a wide selection, it is nice to have a helpful staff with actual tea knowledge.
