The Pink Bicycle Tea Room
Lisa, you've done it again! Afternoon tea on Columbus Day weekend was just what my friends and I needed. We were greeted at the door and shown right to our beautifully laid out table. My Lemon Creme tea was delicious as were the homemade scones. Cucumber sandwiches were wothy of the best British tearooms as were all the sandwiches! As always the desserts were yummy especally the pound cake filled with cream and fresh fruit. Service was exceptional and a return trip will definitely be in my future.
Tearoom response:
Thank you! Lisa

Serenity Tearoom & Fine Dining
This wonderful tea room was beyond excellent. It was exceptional! The tea selection was incredible; so many teas, so little time. I tried the Tropical Green tea and it was delicious. Our group had the peach soup which was yummy, delicious fresh strawberry scones, outstanding sandwiches and the best chocolate dipped strawberries and tea cakes. Tiara, was helpful and attentive. Who could ask for more? I only wish we had the chance to meet Blanche. Maybe on our next visit.

Miss Minerva's Tea Room & Gift Shop
Tea, Lace and Roses has to be one of the 'best' tea rooms my tea friends and I have had the chance to visit. To begin with, we were greeted at the door by the owner and welcomed to the tea room. The atmosphere was like being in a cozy victorian parlor. After being seated at a lovely laid out table with china tea cups/saucers, we were given a choice of three teas. An almond-coconut herb tea, a lemongrass-mint, green tea and a delicious earl gray cream tea. Our hostess poured our tea and we chose to indulge in the full English Tea. What a 'great decision!' Warm lavender scones were served first along with homemade clotted cream & a yummy raspberry curd (which is sold in the shop), followed by a three tier tray offering fresh homemade finger sandwiches (yummy chicken salad), tasty savories and absolutely delicious miniature pastries. (The homemade bread pudding tarts were to die for!) Our hostess was extremely attentive, and we never lacked for fresh tea at our table. After finishing our tea, we were invited to wander the upstairs and back rooms which offered many gift and tea items for sale. Tea, Lace and Roses is a tea room we will be sure to visit many times in the future.
Tearoom response:
Hi Susan,
Thank you for your glowing comments. We appreciate your business and your remarks. It enables future guests to get a feel for the teahouse and choose if it is what they are looking for to celebrate an occasion or get together with friends. Again, thank you and we look forward to your return. Joan

The Royal Tea Room & Restaurant
This has to be the best tea room I have had the pleasure to visit. After visiting the Ritz Carlton in Tysons, the Westfields Marriott, the British Pantry, and many other local tea rooms in Maryland & Virginia, the Royal Tea Room far exceeds them all. We were greeted by the owner upon our arrival and were invited to visit the upstairs antique and gift shop rooms where there were many beautiful things to purchase. (I bought several beautiful bone china plates!) We then went downstairs and picked our cup/saucer from the selection on the bookshelf. The tea choices were excellent (Harney & Sons, need I say more!) and we were then brought a fresh pot to the table to share. Our first course, the cream of crab soup was superior. Next came the 'large' fresh baked almond, apricot scone served with cream and lemon curd. The two tiered tray came next. Freshly prepared tea sandwiches and mini pastries including cream puffs, fresh fruit, petit fours & more rounded out the selections. The service was exemplary and another fresh pot of a different tea choice was brought to our table. I cannot recommend this tea room enough. The owner and staff are friendly and very accomodating. My friends and I will be returing soon and bringing our other tea drinking friends with us. Go to the Royal Tea Room at soon you can; you won't be sorry.
