Drake Hotel
This place was BEAUTIFUL. We had high tea which was delicious. We had 7 women for a bachelorette party there and 2 of them were vegetarians. I don't think this was mentioned to the Drake at the reservation, but it worked out well since us meat eaters just ate the sandwiches that had meat and left the others for the veggers. I wish the desserts would have been done a little differently. They had 4 different types, but not enough for each of us to try one. Again, we winged it and just cut some in half. Overall it was very elegant, however, I felt the price was high ($36 pp) for what we got (but the meat sandwiches were roast beef and smoked salmon), and I'm from rural Pennsylvania, so maybe everything in Chicago is more expensive.

Simpson House Tea Room
This is one of my favorite tea rooms. I try to go as often as I can. The food is always yummy and service is the best! They have a nice selection of loose leaf teas and do specials of custom blends. I usually try to get the high tea.

The Victorian Parlor
My friend I enjoy going to a different tea room every month. We drove 90 minutes to come to the top rated tearoom on teamap.com. Let me say first off, it was WONDERFUL! There was only one thing I can nitpick at. We were only offered two types of tea. We didn't ask if they had more selection, so I can't say if they did or not, I just enjoy looking over a tea list. The tea we had was lovely, though. The service was quite friendly, especially who I assume was Daryl (I'm horrible with remembering names) The food was OUTSTANDING. The date scone was to die for as was our apple dessert. I loved the pasta salad salad! Well, I loved pretty much everything. My friend and I were STUFFED walking out. Thank you!
Tearoom response:
Shannon, can't believe you drove so far, but it was great having you visit with us and hope you come back again. We apologize for not asking if you wanted different teas.
