A Taste of Britain
Based on reviews we'd read, My mother and I looked forward to tea here. We were thouroughly disappointed. Floors were dirty, walls need painting, china was a knock-off paste not English porcelain. Scones were not like English scones at all, more like muffins. Waited 1/2 hour for tea (no cozy), waited 45 minutes for tea (soup and tea sandwiches loaded with non-traditional mayo). Received the wrong order - there were only three tables left at this point. While the scones and pasties were certainly not 'British', they were fresh. Soups and salads were excellent.
