Rowena's
I am the Director of The Virginia Tea Society. We returned to Rowena's Tea Room once again. We had out of town guests and knew they would love a fabulous tea at Rowena's. Once again it was beyond belief. There was comforting music playing in the background, beautifully set tables with a vase of fresh flowers on each table. It is still the best tea, in this area. We chose bottomless pots of Liz's Blend and Apricot tea served with lemon and oranges slices and sugar cubes. We were also offered goblets of water with lemon and glasse of red grape sparkling cider. There were various types of sandwiches and their signature carrot jam chicken salad served on endive leaves, cherry tomatos, two scones, (the best I have ever tasted) served with lemon curd and assorted jams, three slices of Rowena's's famous cakes, three slices of various melons, strawberries, kiwi's, grapes, and two raspberry chocolates. All of this was served on three tier trays...not one for each table but one three tier tray for each guest. It was just everything you expect at a Royal Tea and beyond. They even provided containers for take home delights. It was simply Marvelous!!! I recommend this Tea Room highly to everyone who reads this review. Thank you Rowena, Andrea and Daffney for a remarkable event! We will certainly be back soon! Lots of Tea Love...Till our next cup of tea... Le the' et crepe
The Board Of Directors of The Virginia Tea Society recently visited Le the' et Crepes Teahouse. The atmosphere combined French and Chinese influence and the service was superb. Our server was most informative, explaining the ways of blending teas and the different characteristics and flavors. We enjoyed several pots of tea selected from their fifteen varieties of flowering teas in addition to their loose teas. For our entree we enjoyed their signature chicken salad (a wonderful green salad served with large piece chicken and a delicious dressing). For dessert, we devoured their marvelous crepes. The four of us ordered four different dessert crepes and shared half with each other. They were to die for!!!! They also offer appetizers and a elegant gourmet dining experiences complete with tea and wine. I highly recommend this teahouse to anyone who reads this review. Victorian Station
I am the Director Of The Virginia Tea Society and was recently treated to a fabulous afternoon birthday tea at The Victorian Station Tea Room. The tea and menu were selected especially for me (I felt like a Queen!) We were all dressed in our best tea attire and our proper tea hats and gloves, all which added to the unique tea experience. The elegant atmosphere was breathtaking, the service supurb and the food was to die for! The owner and staff had done everything possible to make my day one that I will never forget. Many of the Virginia Tea Society members were in attendance. The afternoon experience truely reflected the true mission statement of the Virginia Tea Society, 'To share the love of tea, to foster friendships and to always relax and have fun. One more thing, do take of the extrraodinary gift shop on the first floor. The variety is so extensive that I always have to purchase something. Lots of Tea Love to The Victorian Station Staff and to those who read this review.
