Tea Lounge
Definately not a cheery place - an apathetic staff (I think I might refer rudeness to apathy), and usually very crowded. A lot of their treats are locally bakedm which is nice, but it absolutely has more of a 'second hand couches' hipster coffee-house sort of feel. Fair Warning: Midday can bring Park Slope's overly permissive stroller-trade and kids crawling around the floor to strains to 'Eensy Weensy Spider.' There is a larger version of the same at Union and 7th Ave.

The decor is lovely if not accurate, and it is nice to see a tea house truly trying to recreate a bygone experience; but the high price and the long wait don't seem worth the iffiness here. Honestly, I find it odd to see so much thought go into decor at a place serving pre-brewed tea. Also, really big pot, no cosies.
