O'Mara's Restaurant
I attended my first Afternoon Tea at O'Mara's in March 2013. It was such a wonderful experience that I've returned every month since! The theme and menu changes monthly. Loose-leaf tea is served in individual teapots [Harney & Sons]. Their four course teas are deliciously and beautifully prepared in abundant quantities. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. All these details combine to make a pleasurable Afternoon Tea experience.

Tyme Well Spent Tea Room and Gift Shoppe
I've been hearing wonderful things about this tea room but couldn't go until 3/4/06. It was an impromptu visit and I was delighted to get a reservation on short notice. The tea room was well worth the 53 mile drive! There's not one thing that could be improved. The tea was superb and stayed hot on its warmer throughout the entire tea meal. There were several lunch selections to choose from and each course tasted as good as it looked -- a mini loaf of pumpkin bread, potato soup (served in a depression glass cup and saucer) and a delicious chicken salad. Service was prompt, friendly and unrushed in this beautifully restored Victorian farm house. The ambiance was perfect for tea time and I was delighted to see several younger women enjoying the ritual of Afternoon Tea. Browsing the lovely upstairs gift shop was the perfect ending to a perfect afternoon. Tyme Well Spent is one of Michigan's finest tea rooms and I highly recommend it. I will return as often as possible.
