Pickwick Society Tearoom Gifts & Antiques
It was a 30 mile drive, but on a lovely day we wanted to chreck it out. Past reviews sounded outstanding. Depending on what one expects this tearoom was an utter disappointment. Large variety of teas, but we had to wait at least 25 minutes before it was served. Yes, we had reservations for afternoon tea, so no excuse. Sandwiches only fair. Chicken salad served on a hard croissant, never heard of a lemon curd sandwich, that's usaually reserved for scones. The lemon lavender scone was goos but faux devon cream served. You could taste the sour cream. Pastries : on eggnog tea bread, cashew cookie, shortbread cookie & pomegranate cookie. No little pastries. I would not go back.
