Sweet Simplici-Tea
I found Sweet Simplici-Tea online after moving to the area and looking for things to do. It was the best discovery I've ever made! The tea selection is excellent (and if you're overwhelmed by all your choices, the staff are happy to work with you to try to recommend something you'll like), the menu changes monthly and reflects seasonal ingredients (and accommodations can be made for vegetarians if necessary), the prices are more than reasonable, and the service and atmosphere are incredible. I've never felt like a customer at Sweet Simplici-Tea, as the staff go out of their way to treat you with the kind of love and attention you'd give a favorite family member coming to visit for lunch. The owners really know their stuff, too, and will tell you in detail what's in your food and tea and where their ingredients came from, as they buy and bake everything themselves, something I really appreciate considering the weird things mass-produced food sometimes has in it. The scones are absolutely amazing, of course, and the ability to get them (and baggies of tea) To Go on days that I can't stay for tea is even better. Overall, Sweet Simplici-Tea is a very friendly, accommodating place that uses quality ingredients and excellent service, whether you want to spend half the day chatting with your friends chipping away at a pot of tea or can only spare the time for a light lunch and a few glasses of iced tea. And every month offers a new and wonderful menu to explore!
