I will admit that the selection and knowledge of everything tea in this shop is excellent but I will never feel comfortable sitting enjoying a pot of tea here again! In the beginning I found the owner to be engaging and welcoming, but as of late it is not the case. I was told through a friend that certain people are no longer welcome to sit and chat with friends althought there is no signage to the fact that the owners want to limit the time spent at the bar. These owners need to decide if this is a tea shop where people are welcome to savor their pot of tea and meet friends as regular customers or whether they want to be a tea store where you sample your tea and then purchase and go. I will not ever feel welcome to go here in the future and if you're thinking of becoming a regular, think twice.

My name is Sheila Duda and I am the owner of TeaLula in Park Ridge. I wish to thank Nancy for taking the time to complement my shop. Our store offers nearly 130 varieties of loose leaf tea, tea accessories and gifts.
We offer complimentary samples of our tea at our six-seat tasting bar, and in addition customers may enjoy a pot of tea in our window seats. Although we have only 10 seats, we do offer a pot of tea and a scone for customers to relax and enjoy in the shop or tea to go.
Nearly all of our customers who sit for a cup of tea spend an average of 30 minutes in the store. For our business to grow, it is imperative that we have room at the tasting bar to welcome new customers.
However, a couple of customers sat sipping their pot of tea for two to three hours every day at our six-seat tasting bar. We decided that it was best to politely let them know that we needed them to shorten their stay in order to welcome new tea lovers. We thought that, as friendly regulars, they would like to help support our growth.
We hope you will join us, again, taste a new tea and bring a friend to help us continue to grow our business and introduce more people to the world of tea!
