Tyme for Tea
I have visited several tea rooms in the Bay Area recently, and Tyme for Tea is located on a street known for its antique shops. The first thing I noticed about this tea room was the energy within the place. Unlike some rooms I have visited where the customers tend to eat in relative silence, the customers here were talking, laughing, and having a wonderful time. Some people even borrowed one of the many hats available in the room, and took photos with them. Although I enjoyed the atmosphere, I cannot say the same for the food. The savories looked like they came from the frozen food section at Trader Joe’s or Costco. The desserts were good, but for the price you pay they were rather small in size. The sandwiches were probably the best thing offered. All in all, I would say that if you happen to be antique shopping and want a bite to eat, Tyme for Tea is worth a visit. However, if you are specifically in search of a tea room to visit, this would not be my top suggestion
