Shakespeare's Afternoon Tea
WOW!! We had a wonderful and tasty time. We had tea on the porch, enjoying wonderul sandwiches and treats. The tea itself was good, although they could use a wider selction. Be sure to visit the store too. Wonderful british products. The staff were helpful, thoughtful and informative.

Thank you for your review we are in the process of adding more teas but to stay authentic we can only use British teas so the process takes a little bit longer, thank you for your great comments.

The Pleasanton Hotel
I went with a large group of Red Hatters and we had a grand time. One sandwhich was outstanding, but the rest were just ok. There were too many desserts and the devonshire cream was lacking (seemed to be nothing more than sour cream). The lemon curd was yummy. The service was good, but not outstanding.

The English Rose Tea Room and Gifts
Loved everything except the food -- who serves chorizo puffs at a british tea shop?! Also the scones were more like biscuits. On the plus side, the lemon curd was good and the rest of the food was adequate.
