Coffee Emporium & Tea Room
The Coffee Emporium is almost misnamed. It should be called the coffee and TEA Emporium. They have more selections of tea than anybody else in the area. And as Cincinnati's oldest coffee house (since 1973) they are very knowledgeable about the supreme bean as well as the sublime leaf. The food was very well presented and extremely tasty!! I notice that their website actually shows their downtown location (where they roast all of their own coffee) But, the Hyde Park is an adorable painted lady victorian house. Another advantage to not going to a chain. All independent coffee or tea houses look different!! A rousing round of applause for the Coffee Emporium!!
Tearoom response:
I agree whole-heartedly!! It's adorable without being stuffy and friendly without being forced. I love the place. I actually go there everyday. Either for the best coffee in Cincinnati or for a relaxing afternoon respite with tea or iced drink. The owners Tony and Eileen Tausch are fabulous and all of the employees are knowledgeable and oh so nice. heaven.
