A Taste of Britain
My mom and I had made a tradition of attending Taste of Britain at the old location on Berkley. Now it has a new owner who has named it Cuppa, and sadly it's up for sale! We loved the 'cottagey' feel of that place and all the British groceries, teapots, etc. We tried Taste of Britain in its new location last spring. It was not the same. The food was ok, but we cannot tolerate a noisy atmosphere. The restaurant is too large for 'one open room' so there is no cozy feel to it, and nothing to stop the loud sounds from people talking, etc. Too bad.
