Cup & Saucer Tea Room at The Pandorica
When traveling, I always make a point of trying tearooms, and I must say this was one of the most disappointing experiences that I have ever had. The service was poor. The scones were stale, and had too much cinnamon. When you cut the scones they crumbled. My husband and I were not provided with enough jam and cream. The clotted cream was awful unspreadable, and wasn’t even clotted cream. I cannot recommend this tearoom.

Silver Tips Tea Room
My husband and I arrived at 4:25 p.m. on a Friday afternoon and were greeted very rudely. Waiting to be seated a Jamaican girl told us the kitchen was closed, but we could have tea and they were closing at 5:00. I was surprised how could a REAL Tearoom close during the traditional tea time. We sat down and reviewed the menu. I must say, I was impressed by the selection, but the staff was unfriendly. We requested scones and tea, and again I was told the kitchen was closed. How can anyone have tea without a scone! As for preparation of a scone, it doesn't take much! What really aggravates me, is that we were celebrating my finishing a college course that morning, and just arrived in Tarrytown after a 3-hour drive. When I left without having tea, I mentioned I was going to review them on teamap.com. As for returning I probably will eventually, but if this tearoom continues to employ staff like that, unfortunately it may not last.
