This was a special treat courtesy of my sister, Cathy, while visiting her in Iowa. The atmosphere is exquisite and unique. When they say it is a 'family affair/business', they REALLY MEAN IT! The whole family is involved in the preparation for visitors from the food and decorations, to the program they present. The tea we were served was Ceylon. They sold that, along with several others including 'The Peoples' Princess Tea (a blend of mango/kiwi/strawberry/raspberry/black teas). The program when I went (July 10) was called 'A Tribute to Princess Diana' in her honor. The menu was SCRUMPTIOUS! Chilled strawberry soup, roast beef with garlic cream on croissant, orange marmalade tea sandwiches, and MORE DELECTABLE TREATS! My favorite was ALL of it! Their daughter Spenser delighted us with a 'tour' of Princess Diana's life through a memory book she made. Some of it brought tears of joy & sadness to my eyes! Son, Chase, treated us to his acoustical guitar talent - beautiful!! Donna & her husband make you feel like family!! We ate on and drank from BEAUTIFUL china, with a lace tablecloth, and Princess Diana memorabilia on every table. The tea room was very inviting. By the way, some people come in 'costume' for each occasion; however, it's not required. I DO HOPE/PLAN to visit again when I come back up. They also have quite an array of products for sale INCLUDING their cookbook (#1 & 2)! THANK YOU for sharing your gifts/talents/family with us!!!!!!!!!! It was an experience I will NEVER forget!!!
