The tea variety was lacking, and that's putting it nicely. Extremely overpriced for what I could get at Giant Eagle and make myself, sorry.
Tearoom response:
Dear Gayle,
Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. We are the least expensively priced tea room in the area! Of COURSE anyone could go to a grocery store and buy items and make food at home for a fraction of the cost you pay at a restaurant. Everyone pays more to go out to eat. And at most restaurants you do not get gold flatware, fine china, linen tablecloths, linen napkins, choose your own teapot and tea cup from a wide variety, choose hats to wear if you choose, and have food prepared fresh as it is ordered, have the owners read poetry to you and sing for you to make your day brighter. You really should have made your wishes known to our faces so we could have made it right instead of writing the first negative review we have ever gotten in almost 11 years of doing this. And if you really thought the menu was overpriced, you could have gotten a bowl of soup for $3.50 or a scone for $2.80. We have over 15 different varieties of loose leaf tea on our tea list, and another 15 we could have offered you, if you had asked. We had no indication that you were unhappy, so your deceit to us during your experience was great acting. Anytime I am unhappy at a dining place, the waitress or owner knows right then and there.
