Check on line first as there’s certain times of the year this is open and you have to make a reservation. At the end with tip (20% automatically put there regardless number of people.) It comes to $38 per person…and at the end it wasn’t as good as you would think for that much.
Tea is taken in the longue where they sit you on the sofas and cover the coffee tables in tablecloths. At first I thought this was nice. It felt like I was having tea at a friend’s home…but since it’s the mail lobby people are constantly walking in and out, which is rather distracted when you’re dressed so well and everyone around you is in jeans…
There are more than three teas as it looks like one the site, but those are the three recommended to go with each course. The food is good. There’s nothing wrong with it…though at the end we are said to get “assorted chocolate truffles” and you get ONE truffle that was the size of a small gum ball and peanut butter if anything. A the end nothing was wonderful for a $38 meal I was thinking each bite would send my pallet with delight…no.
Everything was dull in taste and nothing made me close my eyes and savor any bite. So for nearly 40$ it was not worth it.
The service and tea and good, wonderful even, but I hardly think I will be coming ever again here…too much for generically “good” food.

The best place for an elegant afternoon tea. Michele, the tea captain, makes everthing relaxing and enjoyable. Pear Caramel and Orange Jasmine are my favorite blends of tea on the menu. The sandwiches are always fresh and delicious. The scones and sweets end a perfect experience. This is the place to go.

With a reputation for the 'most elegant tea in Dallas', the Adolphus had quite a lot to live up to. Fortunately, and thanks to their excellent tea captain Michele, it did.
Four courses of lovely food were served, accompanied by live piano music. The atmosphere was quiet, peaceful, and most of all elegant. The tea menu was likewise well-appointed with a large number of choices of loose leaf tea, which were difficult to decide between. Thank goodness for Michele who was able to provide impeccable recommendations for every course.
Well worth the price tag, the tea at the Adolphus has certainly earned it's reputation as one of the best teas in Dallas.

This is without a doubt one of the most sophisticated tearooms Dallas has to offer and is one of my favorite spots to share special memories. The classical pianist, the tea captain, the food...all adds to the refined charm. My only wish is that Manuel was still there to guide the tea journey.
