Entrance, stairs cluttered with garden pots, etc. no way to use the hand railing for a disabled or elderly person. When I pointed out the danger,af I was give attitude with the excuse that this is an old house and not necessary to be up to disability standards! This is shocking to me and an accident waiting to happen!

I had been to this location several years ago and loved it, BUT this time the table & silerware were dirty, the service was poor, and the over experience was a let down. If I owned it I'd shut down, and clean the place up. When the milk in my tea curled, I was given an excuse and I had to ask for a new cup. If I had not been with the people I was with, I would have walked out. And to think we were thinking a private party there. Glad we went for the test run. There are nicer places not that far away.

We have been here a number of times and enjoy it very much each time. The service we have had has been excellent. A photo was even taken of us and given to us as a birthday gift. The food is always delicious. I love the tomato soup. The High Tea is wonderful and I can't wait to go back again. This is our favorite High Tea spot in the tri-county area.

I visited Friday just to get tea and scones for takeout. I've been here before lunch and had mixed experiences and debated giving them another chance. The scones were perfect!! They were served with jam, lemon curd and clotted cream and were so good I returned Saturday for lunch with two more girls. This tea room is a little crowded and not as well decorated as a few others but we had a great time! The chicken waldorf was superb and the turkey sandwich was enjoyed! The tea was good (apricot black and the chai). Again, the scones were fantastic, exactly as you hope at a tea room. It is a little less personable than other spots I've been but I see great improvement made here and will be back as soon as I get back to the area.

Well one of the reviewers mentioned having to ask for water. I had an entire glass of water spilled down by back by an inexperienced server. then my sister and I were moved to another area and practically ignored. this was my second visit. First was great! Food very good. Service lacking both times. My sister and I refuse to return here. The owner didnot even offer to discount our bill. I left soaked.

Very cute and charming. perfect for a girls day out. i highly recommend the high tea (you have to order in advance). you can relax and enjoy at your leisure and are never rushed. Service is slow (we often have to beg for water). but the good food makes up for it...best scones ever. i also had my baby shower here and it was perfect.

Look at the menu for the 'High Tea' - it looks like for $17.75 per person, you EACH receive a cup of soup, your own finger sandwiches, your own desserts and your own pot of tea - I had a tea party of 7 adults and 4 children (ages 10 -18)(I said on the phone I didn't want to pay full price for the 3 children under 11, so I thought I had agreed to pay for 7 High Teas to be shared, and then the owner said it would be better if everybody just ordered a la carte - at the tea, when I told the owner that, she embarrassed me in front of my guests and told me I had ordered 7 Teas and she had prepared them, so I had to take them. I was charged for 10 Teas - full price! and I got: 5 pots of tea, 10 soups, and three triple stands with a total of: 9 scones, 3 plates of asstd. sandwiches, and 3 plates of asstd.desserts - I got ripped off! I asked the server for more carafes of water and she directed me to the ONE carafe at the other end of the table - there were 8 glasses to fill - I emptied the carafe and when we finally got more water - there was no lemon slice in it. The attention to detail is referred to here, but not carried out with good customer service by the wait staff. The desserts, particularly the cream puffs were frozen in the middle.
MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING FOR YOUR $$$$$$$$$$$

I am from Tennessee and will ensure to stay in the southeast when in seach for a nice tea room. Maybe I am spolied by the great tea rooms in my area but this one was under par as far as I am concerned. The service was not great so when they tell you it takes two hours it is because service is slow. I do not think the air conditioning was on because it was rather warm which is not a good setting for drinking hot tea. The food was not great as the sandwhiches were warm when they should've been cold & the desserts...well...let's just say they were not homemade & not good. I will not be recommending or going back.

I do agree with past quest, my biggest complaint would be how crowded it is, no room at all, the tea was very good and at the right temp, the food was homemade, and the price is very fair for what you get.

This is such a lovely Tea House! The environment is so inviting. It feels like a little retreat from life. When I walk into Serenity Garden Tea House, I almost feel as if I can just escape from the business of life, and just enjoy a lovely pot of tea! The food is delicious! The Afternoon Tea is so much fun. There is plenty to eat, and it is a creative way to sample many different foods. The Tomato Soup was also delicious! I have been many times to this enchanting place, and will most defnitely be going again. The service was lovely as well, the waitresses were quite friendly and helped in whatever way was neccessary! This is a place that I would recommend for anyone to go! :-D

This was a wonderful find!ii have gone back at least twice a month since my first visit. The sandwiches are marvelous! The High Tea (afternoon tea) is VERY good! The little deserts with the High Tea are nice to look at but not the most tasty things they offer. The food is very refreshing and different. The tables are well decorated but the decorations can be cumbersome at times. The environment is lovely and relaxing! On a breezy day its really pleasant to sit outside on the shaded patio. The Tomato Basil soup is SOOOOO very good!! All of the food is very good and mostly home made. It would be nice if the honey came in a different type of container (currently served in a plastic container) but its not a huge deal. It feels a bit crowded with all the chairs so close together and so many table decorations but after you get used to it its not a problem. The tea is always hot and it stays hot because they have Tea Pot covers (also lovely)! The Tea is always served with cream and lemon and honey. After our orders are taken there is a tasty small loaf of bread brought out.
I really highly recommend this tea house!

I absolutely loved this tea house. The atmosphere is very homey. It gets a bit warm sometimes, but is still really worth going to. Afternoon tea there is delicious. The tea sandwiches are so good, particularly the victorian and the princess sandwiches... really delicious. The cream of tomato basil soup is a must. The tea itself is of great quality. I would definitely recommend Serenity Garden Tea House for bridal or baby showers (it is a nice atmosphere for it), and any other occasion. The food is great, the tea is delicious, and it's an environment you can really just sit back and enjoy.

what a fabulous find! This charming French Provincial Tea House & Restaurant is the ultimate for excellent food, atmosphere and service. My first visit was as a guest to a very well organized Bridal Shower. I have since introduced many of my friends to this great retreat.

I was disappointed in this tea room. It was very dirty and required a good scrubbing and dusting. It was very warm as if the A/C was broken. My friend and I had the trio salad with the quiche which consisted of tuna salad (which was just mayo & tuna, very bland), egg salad (just may & egg, not even salt, also very bland) and I was unimpressed with the chicken salad and quiche. The variety of teas were excellent however. The scones and clotted cream were tasty. Because of the dusty and dirty rooms and the blandness & uncreative nature of the food I would not go there again.

i've been there at least 6 times and love it more each time. if i could afford it, i'd be there at least once a week or more. :-) in fact i'm having a private event soon. the traditional tea is lovely, the scones are very tasty and i love that it's served with both lemon curd and strawberry jam. the tea sandwiches are delicious and the pastries are a delight to the eye. the tradition or low tea is a bit different because it starts with a cup of soup. if you're ever there when the potato soup is on the menu make sure you order it. yummm if you would rather have lunch i can recommend the trio with salad..egg, tuna and chicken salad with greens, and the sandwiches are excellent as well. Sylvia is charming, the place is adorable, and you will definitely enjoy the experience.

Lovely tea house with friendly and comfortable service. Loved the soup before afternoon tea, and the availability of clotted cream and lemon curd was perfect. A perfect place to sit and relax- we spent over an hour there. Would certainly recommend for a cozy Victorian type afternoon tea.

When I called to make reservations, I was told that “other people in wheelchairs have been here before and they didn’t have any problems.” Trying to get the wheelchair up the three steps was very energy consuming and dangerous. Our guest ended up having to walk up the three steps. Having a guest in a wheelchair did throw them off. To be honest, I should have been told how difficult it is to maneuver inside while in a wheelchair when I made the reservation. We were not able get inside where it was cool, so a table used for decorations was reset to be a table of three in the entry room. Three different servers asked us for our tea order, three different servers asked us for our lunch order and then a wrong soup was delivered to the table. We ordered Afternoon Tea for three. When the tiered tray was delivered to the table, no explanation was given as to what the choices were. We found all the sandwiches to be mayonnaise based, most on white bread. The desserts were bite size and most not made from scratch. The melon soup was refreshing, the sandwiches tasty but not exceptional. The servers were friendly and polite but the added 20% gratuity was steep for the service.

This little place could NOT be cuter! A mother and daughter own this and they have put their whole heart into it. You know thatfeeling you get with excitement when you were a kid at DisneyWorld? It's like that for us adults and this cute place. It's an old home probably built in the 20's or so with separate rooms. I've been there for a baby shower too and they did an excellent job. Super nice owners! I highly recommend this tea house.

My wife and I have been on a tour to all the local tea houses in the area. It started when we were looking for good pastries, like we had when growing up in South Africa, so the closest to it was finding an English style tea house. Wow, were we surprised when not on the food was good, but everything else, selection, decoration, staff. The owner actually lived in South Africa, and even offered to make us some special South African pastries if we call ahead. This is definately a great little tea house, perfect for girlfriends or mixed couples.
