Mimi's Teas is a gem. Centrally located in Fircrest's quaint neighborhood shopping district, it is easy to find with free streetside parking. I have been a customer since the first year of opening. I give 5 stars all around. Variety - Mimi's Teas offers an extensive variety of pure whole leaf teas, blended and flavored teas, herbal tisanes, Rooibos and Mate. The leaf stock is properly stored in double lidded tins and often when I am there I see orders arrive so I know it is fresh. All are clearly labeled with name, country and region of origin and ingredient content. Her prices are very reasonable. She also stocks many types of tea pots, infusers, cups and mugs and tumblers. Cheryl, the owner is also very knowledgeable about brewing Kombucha tea and stocks brewing supplies as well as the teas to start your homebrew. Artistry - The bright, clean, orderly shop is well lit. The décor shows her love for tea and her customer by creating a beautiful, peaceful environment in which to shop. Service - She is well educated in the tea industry and can easily guide you through all of her offerings and lead you to the best choices for your personal preferences. During summer Mimi's Teas can also be found serving iced teas at the Steilacoom Farmers Market. Food - Like many tea shops food is not served but since I believe tea is food to the soul, Mimi's Teas gets 5 stars in this category for the impressive array of choices. She also offers quality chocolates and hot tea-to-go of 2 sizes in any tea of your choice.

What a lovely experience! Cheryl, aka Mimi, is warm, helpful and obviously loves what she is doing. The shop is small and cozy yet there is a wide enough variety to please everyone from the novice to the experienced. The reasonable prices encourage you to indulge and expand your palette.
